Monte was on today and said he was asked if he had second thoughts about leaving the NFL and he said he LOVES it here! Said he isnt here for his son or grandkids, said the vol walk, this stadium and fans, he loves it and thi staff will be here for a long time.

I don't have access to the LK Show, so I'd appreciate getting the highlights. Same for the CLK 'after the game' comments with Bob Kessling.

Monte and the UT traditions are a great match. I think both feed off of each other. If he thinks the fan energy is great now, wait until we are ranked in the top 10 with a big SEC game at Neyland. Fans are excited about the change and direction right now. When there are realistic championships on the line . . wow.

Along with being a defensive master mind, the man is a character...can't help but admire and like the man. I can see why his squad wants to give their all for him.

Gonna be here a long long time. I think this guy has never seen anything close to Rocky Top. Now he just needs to get a Bluetick Hound dog and settle in . Love it!

I just love listening to him! So much excitement and energy in his voice! No wonder the players love him so much.

Is this guy a large kid (I mean this in a GOOD way) or what? Monte is an example of the way we should grow old, don't ever let go of the kid in us. He is a HOOT...

This staff is amazing...I have been a huge fan of Monte's for years in the NFL and when he decided to come to Knoxville, I couldn't believe it! I was so excited!! I think we can keep this staff intact for at least 3 seasons...when success comes, other schools come calling. There isn't a chance in hades that anyone leaves THIS staff for the same position elsewhere. But if a coordinator position is offered, it will be interesting. I hope that this staff will stick together for 5+ years. They have a chance to do something really special in Knoxville and I think they all see what is coming and are happy where they are.
