Montario Hardesty

Hardesty has took the bull by the horn as far as the starting spot goes. If he can't go, unless the other backs have ball security issues i'd like to see running back by committee. Poole has shown a burst and Oku hasn't hardly seen the field. Might as well see what these guys bring to the table in a game. Brown just isn't there yet as a complete back, but he's getting better.

I might have been one of the culprits who thought BB would start by midseason.

If so, my thoughts were more based on how quickly BB would develop. I did underestimate just how hard Montario was working, how hard is truly playing this year, and how vital his leadership is to the offense. Also, even though I was one of Montario's strongest supporters over the past two years, I still underestimated his talent. So, I agree that he is the brightest spot on the UT offense.

Yet, I also like the way our Frosh are developing.

To me, this offense looks a lot better than did last year's offense. So too did Auburn's... have to tip my hat to their transformation as well. Last year's UT-Auburn game had to be the most pathetic display of offense I've ever seen in an SEC game.

Great job, Hardesty!!!!! Keep it up!!!

This program looks on track to recovery to me.

Hardesty deserves all the attention and success this season and all the injuries and sitting behind Foster.

Hardesty will be more healthy this weekend than last, Bryce was all the talk throughout camp and he has been productive with the pass game and has a very bright future but none of us saw hardesty having the year that he is.

Ahemmm.:whistling:

IMHO, Hardesty may be the toughest RB I've ever seen at UT... and whatever he had lost in burst or speed seems to be back. On a couple of plays last Saturday he made Aub's D look like they were standing still when he made his cut up field and accelerated.

Montario is a cannon ball. The camera shots on the side lines showed him bent over and it appeared he was in alot of pain from the injuries he sustained in the previous games but he sucks it up and goes back in the game in plays his heart out. Couldn't ask for more in a running back and to top it off, he seems to run with more toughness and greater tenacity with all of the injuries. What a leader. Man, what a leader.

He didn't play well against Auburn, unless you consider 4.3 ypc and 90 yds rushing a good game for him. I was hoping for more.

that's not bad considering he was going against an Auburn D that was stacking 7-8 in the box on every play...
