Wa-Griz beats Neyland, end of story! See why...
by ButteRatGriz » Wed Aug 31, 2011 5:39 pm

Here's why, look at the #s :

Wa-Griz holds 26,000.
Montana has 999,000 people.
=
2.6% of Montana on game day.

Neyland holds 109,000.
Tennessee has 6,346,000
=
1.7% of Tennessee on game day

Seems pretty straight forward to me...math doesn't lie

Uh... yeah except no. They are taking this and running with it on the Montana board. We kind of have the sixth biggest stadium in the world. Thanks for the laughs.

I would be interested in what the TV ratings are for each school.. I think you would see a significant difference.. oh wait do they even show Montana games on TV??? GBO!!!

UT has more alumni than Montana has people.

And that's a bad thing? Personally I'd like to see the Californians leave....that'd drop the population another 200K.

I've lived in Blount County and Montana, and getting away from it all in Montana has a totally different meaning. Something grandeur about the wide open spaces....the Big Sky if you will. And we are PROUD of it.

I'm now in Pennsylvania. Yesterday I took a drive in "the country". All I saw were hunting "cabins" with power, and water lines....funniest thing I ever seen. "Hey honey, lets go camping for the weekend...bring the satellite we can watch the TV there too".

Interestingly enough....EVERY game has been televised in Montana the last 3-4 years until this one, which is on pay per view. Problem is the cable provider in Montana doesnt have ESPN3, so its a bar, DirectTV or Dish Network.

And you probably dont want to know the ratings....I bet a higher percentage of Montanans watch....lmao. (sarcasm intended)

We also dont "need" electricity.Does that mean you dont want it?

I like the fact that we have a large stadium, but it's definitely not the only factor. While I hated giving up the seats, Neyland is a lot nicer now than it was 8 years ago.

Also, I would much rather to go to a game at Scott Stadium (61,500), Vaught-Hemingway (60,580), even the Smurf Turf Bronco Stadium (34,000) than Rice Stadium (70,000) or the Buffalo Bills' Ralph Wilson (73,967).

That dude is more likely from TN than Montana. First our grass is not that green, 2nd we dont drive wimpy two wheelers. This is 4X4 country or maybe 4-wheelers. 3rd...no big mountains in the back. And 4th we dont need any stinking fences.

In the end my analysis says its probably actually New Zealand, looking westward. 60 million sheep, 3 million people. Mutton rules!

Next....

Thankfully your opinion didn't matter

I didn't mean we didn't have demand for seats. I meant the stadium was better when it wasn't TOO big. Now it's too big and you likely have no idea about the traditions associated with the stadium.

So you like sitting on top of the person next to you?
Not me.

90000 would have been big enough.

Interesting page.....

Question: What are the top sheep producing states?

I see Tennessee at #2...strangely I dont see Montana on the list. Of course thats probably because we are a CATTLE state.

What are the top sheep producing us states

Ofcourse, if I were a sheep I'd be getting the h£|| outta MONTANADA too!!! Tennessee's #2 because they feel safer here sheepdigger..

Montanna would probably get beat by Buffalo

Interesting subject.....lets look at 2009 the last time we all had semi-common opponents.

That year Buffalo loss to Temple 37-13. That same year Temple was upset by Villanova 27-24. And later that year Villanova beat Montana in the FCS National Championship game 23-21.

I say Montana would be very competitive with Buffalo, and would beat them at home, on the road may be more interesting.

I'm sure because you have your sister, and when you tire of the brood you still have the sheep. Okay junior I'm tired of this game. Next time bring a better game to the table.

Those numbers are wrong. Tennessee's population is not that high. The only way they can come up with 6.3M is to include Memphis. That's not part of Tennesee I'm almost positive.
