Not sure that anyone cares, but since it involved the Vols I will post. My last Montana post? Probably.

Our punter Sean Wren was nominated for special teams player of the week, and Danny Kistler OL was nominated as offensive player of the week.

News release from the Big Sky Conference....

Ben Hughes, a 6-foot, 285-pound senior from Grants Pass, Ore., tallied 10 tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and recorded a safety in Montana’s 42-16 loss at Tennessee of the SEC. Hughes recorded five solo tackles and five assisted tackles. In the third quarter, Hughes tackled Tennessee running back Tauren Poole in the end zone for safety, cutting the Vols’ lead to 28-9. Hughes helped Montana limit Tennessee to just 2.8 yards per rushing attempt. Hughes played in seven games in 2010, recording six tackles. This is Hughes’ first Player of the Week Honor.

Last Montana post, not last post period?

VN is like crack, and if you decide to stay on that stem, then I recommend that you never post about Montana again. Whether we win or lose, a comparison to Montana, "oh we had better stats than that..." is irrelevant and erroneous, on all accounts.

Whether you choose to accept, or not, you have now catapulted into the VolNation realm (in a positive way I might add). I see by your post count that you seem to have enjoyed the board, and if that is an accurate presumption, please continue to add your insight/support/whatever. Just let it be known as the poster above put it, we can still be friends. If you decide to keep posting, which I personally encourage, then keep it cool for a while, and maybe even throw some weight behind the Vols in a big game or two. We did give your University half a million dollars for coming to Knoxville and playing us, so there should be no sour grapes anywhere. Y'all have a school and team to be proud of, as do we, just in separate weight classes, to put it in the most amicable spirit I can think of at this late moment (only 11 here in HI, but you catch my drift).

Good luck with your decision, and may the mighty state of Tennessee rise to prominence once again!

Glad we played Montana and not APSU....believe we got a realistic look at ourselves that picked up our negatives....we can work on that....

He played well. Congrats. You guys still lost, though. No moral victories allowed on this board, trust me.

He deserved it! The whole game I was saying to myself that I wish we could trade punters!

Good luck in the FCS this year ordigger. You guys showed a lot of moxy coming into Neyland and fighting as hard as you did. I'll be pulling for the Griz the rest of the year! :good!:
