Montana matchups...

Not that any one really cares, but I just want to let you guys know that I'm done with Vol Nation. It could be a good site, but all people really want to do here is talk trash and not football.

If you really spent time here, you would know there is plenty of good football discussion. Although, I am in the recruiting forum mostly.

I call absolute B.S. on bear! What booster who married a vol athlete has never been to a UT footbal game? Hahahaha wow!

I guess I pee'd in someones wheaties when I said Da'Rick was too skilled for his 4th round projected corner. LOL I only state the truth. Pwagg is a 4th rounder and did anyone see all the scrimmage stats from camp guess who was trying to cover Da'Rick?

A few of note...

Fun match-ups...

Trumaine Johnson, DB for Montana, considered an NFL prospect, already on various mock draft boards for the first 4 rounds of the draft, listed as 6-2 at 204 and 4.5 speed.

Kavario Middleton, highly toured and touted TE recruit who transferred in from Washington, good size at 6-5, 250, but listed a bit slow around 4.8 speed.

Nate Montana, son of Joe Montana, not a highly sought after recruit, but decent enough and famous name to warrant attention.

Johnson against Rogers or Hunter is the one scouts will have the most interest in.

I doubt your guys will throw Tru's way much. There is a big difference between Tru and our corner on the other side and I'm guessing you will try to be exploiting that side more often. Middleton is 2nd string to Hardy. He does play a lot though and is a physical player, which we could really use. Hardy will be a matchup I'll be looking at though. Montana is 3rd string. His last name is his biggest asset right now.

Haha I really think this is gonna be embarrassing as hell for them when they go home blown out my prediction is 55-3 Vols it's over early. Play Action all day cause we will run the ball and burn them deep. Atleast that is what my confidence tells me when I think of matchups in this game.

You, sir, have moved up my respect ladder with that one sentence. :hi:

I don't guage QBs on the number of rings they have. There are a lot of QBs that have rings that are below average. Brady has had the luxury of having a great coach and an all-time type of offensive line. Manning has basically been the offensive coordinator for his own team. I like Wayne and Harrison, but they wouldn't have half the sucess they've had without Manning. Might be the smartest and hardest working QB to play the game. Always been a fan of the way he carries himself on and off the field. "Cut that meat!"

He's talking all of FCS...the first two that come to mind to me are Walter Payton & Jerry Rice. Hard for any Vol player to top those two. Manning is good but not top 5 at his position IMO. Top 10 maybe.
Reggie White and yes both Reggie and Peyton are in the conversation for best 3 much less 5 at their position. Anytime any conversation is had on great QB's P will come up and Reggie is just well Reggie. (he is also a homegrown TN boy)

they may have a great day, that doesn't mean that their success will come when they were lined up vs tru.

As good as he is he can't cover the entire field and 2 players at once. Only a corner that could play for the vols would be good enough to do that.

fyp.....We are the idiots? Just saying.
