Momentum. UF had it, UT is bleeding it

She's correct, it doesn't actually matter.

This isn't 1985 anymore where polls like these is one of the organizations that crown a national champion.

It is pretty much purely just for fan discussion.

There is not a SINGLE AP voter that watches what would have to be a good 30 games or so, at minimum, every single week to truly make an accurate poll. I know that because there's not enough time between the final games on Saturday til the poll comes out on Sunday(noonish or whatever) to accomplish that.

You'd hope the voters actually did put a level of thought in to their polls, but again in the end it means nothing.

Generally, I might agree. But the problem is these votes do count right now. Perhaps not in the playoff conversation, but it's financial at this point for broadcast rights. If everyone on the AP list was as lazy as she was, we'd be watching garbage teams like UF instead of those that are deserving. And let's face it, the media payout to G6 schools like USF and others go pretty fast in funding their programs.

I agree the rankings don't mean diddly squat at the moment in thy big picture, but there are financial incentives to have accurate rankings even this early in the season.

Regardless, she was just as embarrassing as that chode that ranked Bama ahead of us when we beat them in Neyland a few years ago. His answer was idiotic, but there was some thought put into it. Not this "I'm hung over and can't think of proper rankings early on a Sunday morning" like this moron.

I dare not post this in the FB forum. But it does feel like UF is building momentum whereas Tennessee is questioning itself to the point it will lose confidence and players.
You really should've kept your yapper shut. But then again most Gators are crackheads and their mouths run like a goose's buthole.

Betting markets give Florida about a 30 percent chance of winning, about one in three. It's looking like a game where the defenses will shine, the team with the fewest mistakes will win the game. We will see, but I can see Florida beating LSU.

what happens when yall beat LSU this weekend?

Rivalry, so crazy things happen.
LSU over looking yall?
Maybe you didn't gameplan USF to focus on LSU and the extra week helps?
players are pissed off/focused
whatever mid year changes yall made last year you make this week?
Wouldn’t surprise me if Florida won honestly. Kelly has coached some clunkers.

Florida may keep it respectable early on, but with it being a night game in Red Stick? They'll be exposed and LSU goes on to win.

Right on the zero line! lol
If I'm a Florida fan, more worrying than how he has played is his attitude after losing to South Florida. I've only seen a couple of fans make an issue of it but that dude said, "Ultimately I'm here to have fun and play football," after losing to a directional school rival. Players really do adopt the attitude of their head coach.
