Not sure how everyone else feels, but i've yet to find any of the maps to be that great. Resistance is alright along with maybe a couple others....but it doesn't seem like there's a bunch of variety between them as far as site or location goes. Might be just me.
All the maps are very similar, just different visuals. Very tight, almost no open space. You have to play at a much slower pace than in black ops because sprinting is almost always punished by someone camping around one of the many corners. Not sure whether the necessity of a slower pace is a good or bad thing.
A couple other thoughts....
-Finally got logged into elite this morning. The features are okay. Glad to get my 2 hours of 2XP. I thought Elite was going to feature true clan support, ala Halo 2, where you could level up as a clan and such, but I can't figure out how to start a clan. Right now I can only search for existing clans.
- I'm kind of frustrated that IW has essentially given the middle finger to objective players. No HC objective gametypes, and the in-game scoreboards do nothing to encourage people to play the objectives the way they are supposed to be played. I like in Black ops how captures, defuses, plants, etc. were shown on the in-game scoreboard. That way, at least if some guy was going 70-5 by being a kill farming a-hole, at least you could see it. Or conversely if somebody was going 7-30, but helping the team to win by planting bombs as they took all those deaths, everyone could see it. Now all that shows up is kills, assists and deaths. IW has made it pretty clear that they feel that K/D ratio is the only stat that should matter in their games, and people adjust their play accordingly, which negatively affects the play style in the demolition, HQ and sabotage games.
