Whittingham and Edsall are the only realistic choices left. I don't see Hammy reeling in one of the big fish.

Good news I think

The moderator of Inside Tennessee.com says “This is coming from a big money guy, for what it’s worth, not sure what to believe anymore, it won’t be Cutcliffe. It will be either Randy Edsall (UCONN), Derrick Dooley (LA TECH), Kyle Whittingham (UTAH ) or Kevin Sumerlin (HOUSTON)”.

if any of those with the exception of coach w are true, i'm going to commit suicide by running through the middle of austin with a #57 bama jersey on.

I don't give a crap what kind of offense we run as long as it's exciting and we start winning ball games again... Just sayin

If you want to stay 7-5 and win the PapaJohns bowl, then Edsall is your guy

As opposed to going 7-6 and loosing the Chik-Fil-A Bowl?

Right now I'll take Edsall 1st then Whittingham, but really neither thrills me.

For enough money, UT can hire almost any coach they want. But hamilton's probably going cheap on the offer and the top coaches are backing away.

I saw the job posting on monster for HC of UT

The question is did you apply or are you "happy where you are"? I think I'll go ahead and throw my name in the hat. I' will get Hamilton to fly to Seattle (and leak that he's talking to Pete Carrol or Sarkisian) and call me on the cell so no one will know we are talking.

Hamilton's getting desperate. He's got this plane flying over all the university towns, looking for candidates.

I don't know how I'd feel about Edsall, but I'm not going to disqualify him based on his record at UConn. Who knew they even played football 11 years ago?
