Tennessee Transitioning to Mobile Ticketing for 2020-21 - University of Tennessee Athletics

The Tampa Bay Rays used this last season and while convenient had it's challenges...and that' 12,000 people at a Rays game. I can't imagine the cluster-fork this will be with 100,000 fans.

Wait until the scanners fail and fans aren't prepared with the app already up on their phone. You think the little old lady writing a check at the grocery store is frustrating....

At least this appears to offer the ability to save the tickets to your phone. The system the Carolina Panthers put in place last season didn't allow you to save the tickets to a phone and required an active internet connection for your phone to be scanned. Total disaster at the game I attended early in the season but they did apparently get it straightened out later.

There were still scalpers outside the stadium and I don't get how that could work.

I've used it multiple times the last few years and you're right...if everyone is ready and the tickets are pulled up then usually it goes ok. Once we figured out each ticket holder needed to have their own ticket on their own device it makes it smoother as well. This is where we are now and i doubt it'll be changing any time soon.

Each ticket holder needs a device? What about kids?

What happens when phone batteries die or it's pouring down rain and people don't want to expose their $1,000 phones to the elements?

I have over 175+ UT ticket stubs from every game I’ve been to since a kid so this pisses me off.

Predators have been doing this for a couple years and it goes pretty smoothly actually.

I would think if an adult purchases multiple tickets for themselves and their kid, both codes would be sent to the adult device
That’s exactly how it works. I’ve been doing this with Atlanta Braves tickets for 3 years. It’s extremely easy and convenient.

Might actually make scalping easier. Venmo or PayPal cash and immediately get the tickets transferred from the seller’s phone to the buyer.

I tested positive for COVID for 3 weeks but only ran a temp for about 48 hours. The temp checks do not do much of anything except give the public/customer a false sense of security that they and others are safe.

Must be working for a lot of Countries and Companies,. as that seems to be Protocol. When a Virus Invades your body, your immune system is triggered to fight, and your temp is elevated. You still need to expose others to "Water Droplets" to infect others; that is UNLESS the "experts" have changed that absolute also.
