hard to recruit one when you run a pro style offense. most mobile QB's want to be in a spread offense to show case their ability

There's a difference between a Mobile QB and a Running QB. Tee was a mobile QB who was able to get out of pressure by moving in the pocket. Why is there so much dislike for a drop back QB who can scramble. As long as the chains are moving and points are being put on the board, what does it matter? Is 250 yds? and 60-70 yds rushing really that bad for a QB?

It would be nice to have a mobile QB.....I think we'd be 2-1 if Cam Newton were our QB

I would agree with having a mobile QB. I am so sick and tired of seeing our QBs just sit in the pocket and take a sack. We need someone that will make plays happen, not someone that falters and throws out of bounds or gives up on the play. Another QB like Martin would be nice.

We had a Mobile quarterback who was pretty mobile.

Sorry, bad joke.

A mobile QB is fun to watch but it does not make a team any better or worse. That's all about execution. I personally love to watch Air Force, Georgia Tech and Navy run the option, but I wouldn't necessarily think that's what any other team should do.

Jim Cheney's offense isn't designed for a mobile QB at the moment, and Simms steps up in the pocket with some authority at times. We need an O-line that coulda kept the nazis outta poland! If we had that, then our offense would be runnin' just fine.

I wouldn't call Fran Tarkington a spread guy. He was very mobile too. Same goes for Kenny Stabler. Steve Young ring a bell?

Cam Newton is a spread QB. If Tennessee ran the spread, I'd love to have him. He'd probably have chosen Tennessee if we did.
