Mo Couch Bringing It on Twitter

Take Hunter out of that list

The attitudes showed up after he went down

Hunter is a good kid.

I would say he was becoming the leader on offense

Tauren Poole was the only offensive player that gave a **** this year, as far as I could tell. Leaders lead even during the bad times, which Hunter didn't do.

I'm not saying it can't be changed but he needs to learn a lot. Take lessons from guys like Waggoner, Maggit, Couch, Randolph, Johnson.

Shut up and work.

Hardest worker on the team? He helped the team slightly more than I did this year and I still read nothing but constant *****ing and crying from his twitter account.

He needs to grow a pair.

How about unfollowing him?

Have any of you stopped to think that Mo is talking directly about the attitudes of the younger players? That they are making the excuses

(but they got that way from listening to Dooley all year wa-wa-wa wa)

What athlete(regardless of age) is telling themselves that they are struggling because they're young? Not even the Freshman on the Varsity team puts dropping a pass on being 14 years old.

When you have kids you'll realize that once they get 18 or 19 years old they become delusional about themselves in a positive way.

99% of these guys would say they are better than an All-SEC player starting at another school. Thats just the confidence these kids have when they are an athlete.

When you have a coach like Dooley(& his mommy) telling these same players that the reason why they lost is because they are "too young", I am not sure what type of mentality you're trying to establish. It certainly wont benefit them as they become upperclassmen.

Good post. Don't forget that not only is Dooley calling them "too young", he's also telling them that they are "a bad team", and lack the skills to compete.

This is way far beyond Dooley saying they are too young - because then you would at least see some progress over the season, not complete regression like we've seen this year.

How about you grow a pair and stop talking about KIDS you do not even know. Have you been to practice? Have you been in team meetings? Have you been in the locker room?

Your a waste of space.

Stop calling them KIDS...
They are 18 and older...you're a man at that age.
You can vote and you can join the military.
You can get a credit card.

When you go to college, everyone says you're growing up and you'll start facing life.
Why are these athletes held under different standards?

So does Dooley find himself in the same position as Fulmer? Hire a knock out OC or lose your job?

It is obvious that you have never been to college and lived on campus.

You are still a kid at that stage, just a kid who doesn't have mom or dad coming into his room at night. These athletes are no different. Its why the coaching staff & other faculty have to serve as a surrogate mother or father for them since many can't go home on a whim. These athletes aren't "adults" and football isn't their "profession". As much as we love Tennessee football, it is still just a team sport that they partake in together.

Im guessing you'll need to send your kids off to college before you realize that they aren't any more of an adult than they were when they lived in your home and asked for money for food & gas.

All I want for Christmas is a new OL coach. That'd be a good starting point. Is Coach Barry still around?

Twitter, the internet, facebook, maybe the worst things that ever happened to college athletics. If the coaches don't already monitor these things they should.
