They are probably out of money and just don’t have room to sign anyone so took him, even with him saying he was going to school.

It sounds like it was promising. I don’t think any worries on Moore and Appenzeller. No way they have the money to sign either olayer even if they have extra, plus those kids are better than going that late.

Don’t think we have to worry on Moore and Appenzeller. Neither player will sign going that late. No amount of money would be enough. Trust what the kids have said today.

Couldn’t realistically have imagined a better draft for the Vols. Definitely going to be in the thick of Omaha for the foreseeable future IMO

It was a great draft for sure. A bit disappointed Hunter Ensley wasn't drafted. He poured his heart out for the Orange and White and would like for him to at least be honored in the draft. Best wishes to him. He left us with some great memories.

I have mixed feelings about Bargo and coming back. He struggled at the plate late in the season but was clutch for us the first part of the season. Reports were he was dealing with an injury and he was really unlucky during the last few games he hit several balls on the screws but just right at somebody. Can he return to early season form??

My personal opinion is with the roster limits in place and his versatility you take him if he wants to return.

Didn't get to watch the draft today, but sounds like it went as well as we could have hoped. According to KNS, Moore, Grindlinger, and Appenzeller all plan on making it to campus.

Great day for Vols baseball. Vols are minimum top 3 with talent they have and a lot of kids locked in for a couple of years or more.

I know Braves took one of LSU top pitching recruits early rounds of draft. They took a ton of under slot players probably to sign that kid that was going to LSU.

This will sound harsh, but with the roster crunch there really isn’t a spot for Bargo and Chapman. They were far too inconsistent at the plate last year. I doubt two former every day starters are coming back and accepting a role as a situational player. They probably need to just take the next step in the professional career.

Chapman had a huge SO% and Bargo totally tanked the last 3-4weeks. Hard to see them taking valuable spots from talented players coming in. Too many good players to have unproductive guys playing much. I would agree with you. Reality is harsh sometimes. I was crushed not making my local tee ball team.
