What exactly is pulse pitching?

I liked analog in last years game..felt pretty realistic as in if you barely missed your spot and left a fastball over the middle they could really do some damage off you.


Seems like everybody is loving the pulse pitching.

Pulse pitching is much more realistic than analog imo (and I was a huge fan of analog). Google it for a proper description, but its pretty much a pulsating circle after you select the pitch and you have to time the cicle to be as small as possible. The rate and size of the circle all depend on the pitcher ratings. In 11, I could still pitch very well against major league batters with a minor league pitcher that was much lower rated. I have tried that with pulse pitching and I get rocked. Also with analog, it was way too easy to paint corners and have cy young-like outings, but with pulse pitching it feels much more realistic without feeling like you are getting cheated. Another thing I will say for pulse pitching is that with analog, I would never walk a batter unless I wanted to......with pulse pitching, it feels more like a battle to make good pitches and I have walked a few already.

This year's analog is different, though, isn't it? Moving the ball to different parts of the plate and up/down requires precision with the stick to nail your spot. Big time.

Honestly I havent moved it off pulse pitching.....so I couldnt say either way, but I would be surprised if analog pitching was different from 11 which was easy to master.

Another big plus over 11 is the load times are so much quicker.....most of that has to do with the 10GB install, but I dont care because it is super quick.

May I also suggest to you to check out messing with your stadium sounds. I used this feature last year and it adds so much realism, especially for Braves fans (tomahawk chop). Here is a link for the thread at OS (MODS hopefully this isnt a violation) and this guy has a file uploaded to 4share that you can download and edit your sounds. There are also tutorials on there on how to put the sounds in the game.

Being an even year, it's a year where I'm supposed to get The Show. But with getting married in 10 days, we'll see how that works out!

I am not very good with the whole sticks hitting and pitching though. Just give me buttons to push!

Did online dynasty make it?

Just played an online diamond dynasty game, and the gameplay was flawless. I lost 2-0 but a horrible fielding error cost me those 2 points. Also, my timing was HORRIBLE in batting ...

And no, online dynasty did not get put in, but there its online league. Pretty much the same thing, just one season

Fuuu had a perfect game through 7 with matt moore. gave up hit to austin jackson. Then threw him out stealing. 9th inning ryan rauborn took me deep with 2 outs. Won 2-1

Played my friend's MLB2K12 on his 360 today and it's complete crap compared to the show :eek:lol: I pre ordered this, I just need to go pick it up. I take it's amazing right?

Just had the greatest moment in my sports gaming life.....RTTS, down by 4 runs, bottom of the 12....I get up to bar and run the count to 3-2...hit a shot to right field and its hooking foul and just clips the foul pole for a walk off grand slam

S***. Just lost to the Marlins in 11. Game was tied up 1-1 and Mike Stanton jacked one dead center in top of 11th. I was lucky to be tied that long. I gave up 11 hits, to my 5 hits. Reyes is a little devil.
