MLB 10: The Show

My God my RTTS player might be the weakest guy in the Braves farm system. I don't even have warning track power. I either hit pop ups to 2nd or weak grounders. WTF is the deal??

It took me awhile to get my guy built up last year. Just make sure you complete all of your training and challenges.

New patch out.

And the Titanic struck an iceberg.

Seriously, though, it looked to be a bunch of minor tweaks. Didnt say anything about fixing the freeze up going from the post game to the main menu online.

Also they found the bug in PSN that was screwing up the Classic Stadium unlocks, and they are working on it.

However, i know better than to take game devs at their word. The Show team seems to be pretty hands on in dealing with the public.

My guy is the exact same. I got spoiled on last years game....my guy was a hoss. Im not used to guessing pitch type and location correctly only to fly out to Left.

Okay guys...I am about to break something.

Everytime I turn on my PS3 and try to play this game it tells me I dont have enough free space on my hard drive.

Keep in mind....I have already loaded the F'ing game onto my PS3 and have played it. The only way I can get around it is to delete the game file and re install it, and that takes about 5 minutes to do....Any help would be great.
patch supposedly addressed this

Picked this up last night, and it is a pretty good game. Started a franchise with the Braves last night. Probably gonna trade Chipper pretty quick, just haven't decided what to try to get for him yet.

A new coke machine and some fresh towels would be a good trade. Seriously getting rid of that dinosaur and his paycheck is a top priority

my RTTS guy is batting an impressive .180 right now. It was much worse, but I've been on a 'hot' streak recently. It's pretty frustrating like smokey said to guess the pitch right and get solid wood on the ball only to fly out to left. Hell I sucked so bad at first that the Braves traded me to the Cards in AA ball. I hate the Cards.

Try running a bit with guess pitch off, I found that it helped me pick up the ball better. I also think it modifies your power positively.

Granted, they still dont drop too often, but better to line out than chop into a double play every at bat.

i agree with train here, the hitting is going to suck for a while on the rtts guy, there isn't much way around it. make the best use out of your training sessions with what he was saying about the guess pitch stuff, even if you guess fastball down the center and get it, chances are you'll pop out or something like that. putting points on vision gives you better contact with pitches that aren't dead in the middle of the strike zone.

Chubby Guy is sucking as a AA CF for the White Sox, though I have had some timely hits with RISP.

Hitting all of .240 with an OBP under 300, but its not as bad as i'd expect. I think ignoring contact as boosting power will help moving forward since i hit lots of weak grounders and bloopers that would be extra bases with some mustard behind them.

you don't have to boost power so much yet so that you can jack everything you hit to use it. train you saw how helpful the power swing was the other night just in the fact of hitting solid line drives rather than weak choppers

Just won my first 1 on 1 against someone not on my friends list. It sucks, as you are playing Boston or NYY every time, it's more fun playing like me and Fleet roll Cleveland against Pittsburgh.

So anyway, it was 0-0 going to the sixth, and I gave up a run on the bottom half. Top of the 7th, i drew a walk, followed by a HBP, and proceeded to make the count full on the next 2 batters before i struck out.

So i take the first 3 pitches and find myself 1-2, with #99 at the plate, I know he's not throwing a fastball to Manny 1-2, so i figured it'd be a Circle Change (as opposed to a slider or sweeping curve), and i put that SOB out on the Mass Pike.

Broxton got 7 outs to finish it, enough said.

Though I wish online they would do something with pitch counts to make the calls more realistic, simply put you don't throw many balls.

It's nice having Billengsley have 80 pitches through 7. but also sort of unrealistic considering the number of swings and misses and lack of balls as a result

Well my 6'6 225 pound CF'er is hitting a robust .220 with 0HRs and 7 RBI's after the first month with the AA Rays. I missed about 10 games due to injury. It seems like the hitting this year is so much harder than last years game, also it seems like every team I play at AA is stocked with gold glovers....diving catches and what not.

One issue I have is at the post game recap loading screen when it has the box score from my guy. Does anyone else have the problem of at the top it says 2-4/2B/RBI......But everytime it says 0 HR......its really annoying, just checking to see if anyone else has this problem.

So my first year I was traded 4 or 5 times. Into my 2nd year, no invite to spring traning.. I'll post stats later.
