If the online is worth a dang, I'm interested in joining a league. I'm a 10pm - 1am sort of guy during the week and here and there during the weekend. I also enjoy long walks on the beach.

If we get something going here, I'll let it be known right now. I will be horrible. I played the hell out of 07 and 08 but never did anything but pitch in RTTS. Skipped last years for some reason.

Wife heads out of town for a few days Wednesday. Hoping to get some time on this one during that time.

i say we start off small if nothing else until we figure out how it's going to work as far as having to play each other and if it even works at all.

It'd be nice if i could grab it tonight on my way back to my shop, as its on the way, be working late at the opposite end of the state tomorrow.

Oh well. I think we'll need to wait a few weeks to see how the servers will work, once the traffic dies down. I played again last night with virtually no lag other than a few small hops.

I'm sure it'll be fine, some will complain about a little blip here and there but thats the nature of online play.

i'm sure it helps some not being on xbox live while you play PS3 just so you can talk to each other during the game.

yeah, i need to get a headset. I suck at the plate, squeezed in one run against the guy in the 8th, of course i was playing as Cleveland against NYY, so 5-1 with all of 3 full games played online wasnt too bad.

Yes its simply leagues as in humans only play humans.. There is no online franchise mode like say an NCAA Football or Madden 10..

And to the OP where on earth did you get that THE SHOW 10 would have an online franchise mode?? It does not.. What it does have however is league play with elements of regular offline franchise play..

Such as 40 man rosters, fatigue, injuries, trades, set pitching rotations, set lineups, and full stat tracking for all of the above individual players etc etc..

I figured that would be the case, but I held out some hope anyhow lol. I'm still interested, but it'll take some playing around with to figure out the best way to do it.

Perhaps we could draft with some sort of rating limitation to prevent having all All Star teams or something.

We'll figure something out I hope, i'm not too huge on RTTS, for lasting appeal, hopefully the 1 on 1 online is workable.

if you would learn to hit pitching other than BP, the rtts would be much more enjoyable. we definately have to come up with system to keep it somewhat even between teams, but at the same time it all comes down to can you make the right pitch at the right time or get the big hit when you need it. something i've thought about, and this would depend on how the layout and all is and how many we have, everyone being in a different division so that there may be a better chance of us all meeting in the playoffs.

From what I gather there is no cpu teams online though. Unless I read it wrong....

The franchise mode is decent, for a change of pace offine.
