Mizzu common opponents arguement is sketchy

the fact that we shouldn't be hanging with Georgia or SC...we beat a ranked team and almost upset another (don't blame pig he tried to make a play and put it all out on the field) that being said from what I saw watching Worley play a half and dobbs play a half against bama...Offence couldn't move the ball went 3 and out with Worley at helm etc...then dobbs comes out moves the ball to put us in shape to score 10points and also got the Defence fired up and they were able to make a couple of plays...we kill ourselves going 3 and out we don't have the depth to hang so we have to give them some rest
Do you honestly think Bama was playing their best effort after leading 35-0? Dobbs performance against Bama means very little.

The experts have it right IMO. MU is angry about last week and will be trying to make a statement tonight that they are the best team in the east. A night game at home, cold weather, UT starting a true freshman, 3rd string QB. Safeties banged up. That stadium will be rocking and the Vols haven't played well on the road this year. Odds are Vols won't be much of a challenge.

Bottom line is most here aren't giving MU enough credit, they're pretty good, better than they played last week IMO. I'm just looking for continued improvements from our team, not expecting a win. I'll be excited if we can beat the spread.

I agree with you but look what teams we've played on the road.

Very little of this matters IMO. It's all about matchups, which Missouri wins most of, Missouri's team confidence and intensity and our utter ineptness on the road. If we don't come out ready to play with great intensity from the get-go this game will get away from us early and be over at halftime IMO.

Also I didn't mention that UT lost to Alabama convincingly which usually has little effect, while Missouri blew a lead at home in a very emotional battle. The latter will come into play in my mind. Vols by 10+

Yes. Do you honestly think that Bama pulled foot off gas. Going for it fourth down in the third quarter and a huge lead, leaving starters in until about 4 and half minutes to go, kicking a field goal with a huge lead. Yes, they were trying to score style points.

I feel that the Missouri hangover from the USC jr. loss will play a bigger role than most give credit. They didn't just lose last week....they blew a 17 point lead. That can take a toll mentally on a team.

Nonsense. What about our game last week. That could also take a toll.

I think Mizzou's emotional state after the loss could be a positive for us and a big factor on the outcome. Sure hope so.
