Mizzou's DGB

What makes you say that if there will not be any charges filed?

Suspended indefinitely can mean different things, so he could definitely be back. In my experience, usually that means that the guy suspended has to make drastic changes or he is gonna be gone. Some kids get the wake-up call, but it seems, sadly, that most of them don't.

There will be no charges pressed on DGB, but this column details the text messages that shed a light on DGB's shady character and that he did beat the girl.

Police will not arrest DGB in burglary case : Sports
The victim also shared a series of text messages from Green-Beckham’s girlfriend that were sent after the incident. In multiple messages the girlfriend urged her friend not to press charges.

One of the texts read: “Dorial was wrong in every way and you have every right to be furious. I’m not sticking up for him but football really is all he has going for him and pressing charges would ruin it for him completely. … I can’t do this anymore. Now he’s hurting my friends not just me. I really am sorry you’re in this position and I never meant for this to happen.”

The girlfriend later texted, “No part of me wants to be with him and last night made me realize so much. I’m not sticking up for him, but it’s the rest of his life. He deserves to pay somehow. Without football he really does have nothing. … He wouldn’t make it in a real job. He’d be in the streets and in prison like his brothers. I understand how upset you are. i am too. he drug me out by my kncek (sic) and hurt me too.”

The last message prompted a follow-up call from a domestic violence investigator on Monday but led to the girlfriend declining to cooperate.

Another text from the girlfriend read: “Reports are already being let out. this is going to be a huge deal if you press charges. it’ll be over for him. please.”

In another text, the girlfriend asked her friend if she considered “classes or counseling” or letting Green-Beckham pay for the damaged drywall.

The girlfriend continued with another text: “We just need to move quickly on this before he’s arrested and before his warrant is made public. he will be kicked out of Mizzou and the not qualify for the draft next year. The coaches talked to me and explained to (me) how serious this is and there’s no time to waste at this point.”

“It’s going to be a disaster,” she texted. “I know you're upset but this is a huge deal.”

Almost sounds like she really wants him to get drafted, does it not? I wonder why?(sarcasm). If that stuff is true, then this is pathetic and disgraceful from all parties involved.

Pinkel won't do s**t. The line about integrity in the program is a joke. Same Pinkel that got completely trashed at a booster function then told police he had a drink or two when he got pulled over for DWI.

This is when you know Mizzou is in big boy football now. Opposing student sections should have some good stuff when Mizzou comes to town.

Actual quote from DWI stop:

Officer: "Can you count backwards from 73 to 62 for me?"
Pinkel: "Are you kidding me? I can't do that normally."

I hate Mizzou for my own reasons, but I'm hoping we put a smackdown on them this fall.

It's likely too IMO.

If I'm this girls father or mother this guy would pay....I would press charges, I don't give a sh$$ who he is or where he has potential to go. This guy will never learn from this situation. Pathetic POS.

Except if the girl's legally an adult, I'm not sure they have the ability to do so, do they?

This all came from someone named David Morrison:

Incident report also says Green-Beckham pushed a female occupant of the apartment "causing her to fall down at least four stairs."—
David Morrison (@DavidCMorrison) April 10, 2014

Report says victim experienced "bruising and swelling of her right wrist and limited movement of her fingers on her right hand."—

Text messages from Green-Beckham's girlfriend after incident indicate he "drug" her "out by the neck and hurt" her "too."—
David Morrison (@DavidCMorrison) April 10, 2014

After all of that, the reason Green-Beckham is not facing criminal charges? “[The v]victim told police she did not want to press charges because ‘she was afraid of the media and community backlash.’” Tod Palmer takes it even further, tweeting that “Columbia Police were prepared to charge DGB with first-degree burglary, but withdrew warrant after victim declined to press charges.”

The police obtained text messages from/to the alleged victim which explained Green-Beckham “will be kicked out of Mizzou and not qualify for the draft” if he were to be charged and — not a good look upcoming if you’re a Tigers fan

Also said the coaching staff never contacted her, but Green-Beckham relayed that message to her about his future.

Whether it's all valid or not? Don't know. Came from another message board.

This came out at noon:
@KTGRsports: CPD says based on info it has collected in DGB investigation, there will be no arrests.

Report: No arrest in case involving Missouri's Dorial Green-Beckham | Campus Union - SI.com

There will be no arrest made in the case involving suspended Missouri receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, the Columbia Tribune reported Thursday.

A Columbia police spokesman told the Tribune that there would be no arrest in the case based on information obtained from an investigation. Green-Beckham was suspended indefinitely earlier this week by Missouri coach Gary Pinkel for a violation of team rules.

Reports had linked Green-Beckham to a burglary that occurred at a Columbia apartment complex over the weekend.

An incident report released by the Columbia Police Department on Thursday details an altercation involving Green-Beckham, his girlfriend and two other women in the early morning hours at the Brookside Townhomes on Sunday.

Green-Beckham unlawfully entered an apartment at 310 W. Old Plank Rd. at 2:36 a.m., according to the report, forcing the door open as one of the occupants was trying to close it on him after initially opening the door because she was expecting company.

Green-Beckham then allegedly forced his way into the apartment.

According to the report, Green-Beckham “assaulted” another occupant of the apartment after entering it by pushing her, causing her to fall down “at least 4 stairs striking the floor.” Green-Beckham had entered the apartment looking for his girlfriend, according to the report.

Green-Beckham and his girlfriend then left, according to the report.

On Thursday David Morrison of the Tribune said the incident report shed light on details of the alleged assaults.

Report says victim experienced “bruising and swelling of her right wrist and limited movement of her fingers on her right hand.”

Green-Beckham’s girlfriend also allegedly attempted to discourage the victims from pressing charges.

More text messages from his girlfriend the next day to the victim reveal she was trying to convince her not to prosecute.

In follow-up interview, the girlfriend said she did not remember texting about sustaining any injuries.

Green-Beckham, the top-rated overall recruit in the country coming out of Hillcrest (Mo.) High in 2012, recorded 59 catches for 883 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. He is set to enter his junior season this fall but remains suspended from the Missouri football team.

I don't give 2 sh$$ if she's an adult or not, that's their child. They can hire their own investigators and get an attorney to push this issue. Just like the jameis Winston case, these guys are protected by big money boosters and coaches.

how far is this gonna go before people in the right places starting taking it seriously? look at the ray rice issue, now this?

and the women that are willing to sacrifice their safety for a guy with lots of money, or in this case the potential for a lot of money? that's pathetic. I'm not sure how you're raised to think being beat on is okay as long as you get something shiny after...

Yeah, the player was dismissed from the program...so it sounds like the coach did something.
