Mizzou game (in light of recent developments)

Our coaches have watched film. They know Mauk gets easily rattled. We will more than likely play man-to-man on the outside and insert blitz packages to put the necessary pressure on Mauk. Our coaches will try to keep him confused by disguising our packages.

Now that Michael Sam is gone, we don't have to disguise our packages anymore.

Yeah cause the best way to tell if a coach is any good is to take away his best players and then judge them.

We have a good coaching staff regardless of this game.

Going in to Saturday game thought we would win 31-28, now all this just don't know hard to believe you lose your field general on the D and have no effect, nearly as bad as losing your QB on the other side as long as we play hard I can take the results even if we lose we can still beat Vandy without AJ, so before the SC game most on here would have took a 3 and 1 record in the last 4 game, we still can reach our goal even with a lose, we got them at home and I think we come out and play hard and have a good chance at winning the game anyway.:lolabove:

We have a lot to overcome. Injuries at key positions, a week of negative publicity and distractions, the loss of our leading tackler and leader on the D. It would have been a tough game under any circumstances, but things just got tougher. We'll just have to pack Neyland, support the team and see if the players can rise above all this adversity.

I am pretty damn sure if we score more points than them, we will win unless I am missing something that's how its been for 125 years, I think.:)

We'll know more later this week. Let's check history and see how it plays out Saturday then we'll know for sure.

This could be an insight to what we'll see next year after AJ is gone. These young guys are filling some shoes this year. It'' be some good reps for them. I think we will be OK.

at least on the defensive side of the ball. they have to make our defense serviceable without either one of our 2 communicators on the field.

Gonna be interesting indeed to see if we can stop Missouri now.

i am still suspect about jancek as our redzone defense is not too great.

If we can hold them to field goals it will give us a good chance to win.

My guess is we will play alot of zone with some blitz packages mixed in.

i think we have to be aggressive on defense in this game to have any chance to win it.

Love the pre mature Weds game week sunshine ..whoop deh azzzzz I say.. Blue font

Very anxious to see how our Defense does without AJ since this will essentially be our D unit next year.

I am interested as well. I love AJ, and I hope he still plays this Saturday if he is innocent.

Justin Coleman is going to be the star of this game regardless. We have the exact type of defense that gives Mizzou fits and we have the personnel to execute it.

When you have that nickel guy that can tackle and blitz off the edge, it makes it hard on a QB that runs a lot of play action from the shotgun. Their receivers will not beat our secondary.

Janceck with or without AJ is going to blitz Mauk like crazy.... Weatherd, Coleman, and Maybin are the x-factors.

They shouldn't even score 14 points... seriously.

our offense is rolling right now. And Mizzou has not really played a good offense this year.

Hurd will explode this game
