Idk if you've seen the video but how in the world does he get to stay at OU, he should've been arrested and sentenced to life in my opinion! What was Stoops thinking... Sickening!

Mixon is a little b****. Decks a visibly drunk chick cause she pushed him. All he had to do was literally use one arm to push her out of the way. Instead he tries to knock her out. Dude deserves all the **** that's coming his way. I hope someone on ESPN grows a sack and rips this guy apart on national TV - dude deserves to be humiliated for acting the way he did.

PS. I don't care if the little girl called him a N word. Mixon is still a major piece of **** and he would've never played football at OU if this video would've been made public. The backlash would've been insane.

Does anyone know what he said/did to get her to start pushing and smacking him?

Why? Cause he's black and she's white? LOL.

First of all, she attacked him. He only retaliated. Sure the force was excessive but if you attack me, I'm gonna defend myself. And I wouldn't expect anything less from anyone else. I don't care that she's female and he's male. No one has right to attack someone else and not expect repercussions.

Mixon has already served his punishment. He was forced to sit out all of the 2014 season. Anything else now would only be double jeopardy.

My, what a big man you must be. Little girls of all ages probably quake in their sandals over the thought of you defending yourself.

So let me get this straight. If I'm bigger and stronger than you and you attack me, I'm supposed to gently push you to the side? How about not attacking someone that is physically more powerful than you? Women need to start living by the same rules as men. As a man I know better than to try and mess with a dude who is twice my size. Some women are under the delusion that they can physically attack men much bigger than them and get away with it.

And if this white woman really called him the N word, then I have zero sympathy for what happened to her. Mixon was well within his rights to defend himself with force if she attacked him both physically and verbally. Racial abuse like that is UNACCEPTABLE.

I didn't think it was as horrible as you made it sound. If he'd hit her more than once, I would've seen a problem. That wasn't that bad.

You couldn't be more wrong or unacceptable.

White knight detected.

Nope, nothing she did warranted that kind of violence. She pushed him, barely moved him. And the alleged "slaps" to the head? Not even close.

Watch the video and tell me his actions were justified.

This has nothing to do with trying to intimidate women. I just have a problem with the fact that every time a situation like this arises we gloss over the fact that its typically the woman that makes the first blow. We saw the same thing at FSU with freshmen QB DeAndre Johnson a year ago. He got kicked out of school for punching a white woman at a bar after she punched him first.

I don't know what it is about white women that makes them feel they can attack black men with impunity but if you try and punch me, I don't care if you are a woman or man, I'll defend myself. And I don't expect less from anyone else. This is not me endorsing domestic violence or attacking women. I just don't think women should be given a free pass when they attempt to physically attack men.

TL/DR

Watch the video and try to back the claim she "assaulted" him.

Hell, you've probably been pushed harder when a girl at the bar told you "get away creep!"

Not everything in life is race related. Couple things you should remember. You are not the only minority on this site and you are making the rest of us that are minorities look bad.

What she did is the definition of battery and what he did was the definition of self defense. If he had kept hitting her then it would have been battery. He stopped as soon as the battery on him was neutralized. This is pretty much a cut and dry case, if she had been a man and everything played out exactly the same she would have been charged with battery and nothing would have been done to him.

Why are you injecting race into this discussion? It's completely irrelevant.

And if a slight shove from an inebriated female is what you consider an "attack", then you're a bigger wuss than I ever could have imagined.

I bet this chick learned some manners after that shot. It's never ok to attack someone like she did, drunk or not.

So your argument is because she's weak, she deserves a pass?

Sorry but that isn't a legitimate excuse. She tried to assault him. She just happens to be weak. That does not excuse her INTENT. Her intent was to assault. Mixon responded in kind. The only difference is he's strong.

If you are weak, don't attack those stronger than you. Men understand this simple rule. I just don't understand why women don't. Especially white women vis-a-vis black men. I'm guessing some latent racism is at play in these interactions.
