So many different feelings afterwards. Once again, Dooley cant buy a win. Yet its obvious this team is alot better than last year and can still hit 8-4. UT should outscore Mizzou, beat Vandy and UK and their last OOC game. USCjr needs to watch out.
Despite some "holding" looking plays, the UGA o-line played some of the best ball I've seen. When that happens its hard to defend against the quick passes. But still the defense looked AWFUL. Do we say give them time? Like UGA needed when they swapped to a 4-3? Could the injuries to Randolf and Maggit be a huge reason? Its really hard to say. They did cause some turnovers and had some good last drives stops.
The offense? What a job by the o-line. Super proud of them. But what about Bray? Is he to blame for the loss as a single player (obviously as a unit the d-line gets blame)? He should have accepted the sack and been safe with the ball on the last drive. I dont think he isnt going to end up being that good, but remember he hasnt had tons of experience against great teams or great players around him. But I was disappointed in him. That one pick was obvious push off. And you're going to get CP dropping a few passes I mean goodness, I didnt except him to be this good so early.
I think Dooley and Co. did a good job on playcalling to go up against the #5 team. Chaney was still predictable at times, but 44 points leaving 11 on the field? And Sunseri needs time. They need as much time as a head coach.
As long as the team doesnt get really depressed from this, I think its going to be a fine season and very possibly a bowl win if you think about it. So stop complaining I know it sucks and at some point you HAVE to beat a top ranked team... But they're getting there.
