Mitch has stated before that he believes he can go the Matt Cassel route. Matt was a backup as USC and went on to become a starting quarterback in the NFL without ever starting a game in college.

I wouldn't exactly call Mustang a bust. I also wouldn't call it begging, as you put it. They have players that have recently become available. We would be stewpid not to go after those guys. If we don't, somebody will and it could some teams on our schedule. You're gonna have to swallow your pride for the sake of the team. There's no better way to get revenge on Kiffen than to "rob" his roster. GO VOLS!! GET MUSTANG!!!

He said that before all this came down from the NCAA. He had no choice when he was the 3rd QB behind Barkley and "Corps".

no value here in my opinion. he has sat for the last 3 years so I'm not sure he brings anything more than what we have.

As a freshman, he was in a vanilla offense where he turned and handed off to McFadden and Jones..

I would think he has probably written college football off quite a while ago... just riding it out until he gets degree.
