Communication is much more tonality & body language than it is just words. What you mean to say (type) and what people conclude from your post might be totally opposite.

I thought you might have meant that, which is why is included "If anything, there won't be many defections from SC that land in Knoxville".

No harm, no foul...and I agree with you to an extent. We might be an attractive program to Mustain if he wants to go to a university with a big stage that he can start and showcase his "talent" to a national audience. However, UT is a program in rebuilding mode and he may not want to be apart of that.

I'd say our chances are slim at best at landing any pending SC defections, but I don't think its a definite "no" either.

I don't know if we would have a chance at landing any of these guys, or if we would even try. Here are the upperclassmen I found buried on their depth chart.

Center: Michael Reardon (6-5, 285 Jr 4star)
Guard: Zack Heberer (6-5, 290 Sr 4star)
Tackle: Martin Coleman (6-5, 315 Jr 4star)

They also have 3 DTs buried on the depth chart, another position where we are woefully thin.

Derek Simmons (6-4, 285 Sr 4star)
Hebron Fangupo (6-2, 330 Jr 4star)
Christian Tupou (6-2, 285 Sr 4star)

Yeah you guys are sooo right Mitch Mustain is so terrible. So much worse than Matt Simms. Why would we want him? Oh wait he was the number 2 QB in the nation out of high school. Hes undefeated and if USC had started him last yr they probably wouldve had a little better offense.

You're half right here. Mustain isn't the 5* can't miss player he was believed to be out of HS, and he definitely isn't better than Matt Barkley. However, he is much better than Simms and would win the UT starting job with little to no resistance from his competition.

I thought it was a load of crap when I heard about Kiffin to USC..... wrong. I thought the recruiting class for 2010 was going up in flames after Kiffin left.... wrong. I thought USC would get off with little to no punishment.... wrong.

All day, I've pretty much thought that there is NO way any player from USC would come to UT for a year or two.... I expect at least 11 to sign up any day now....

Pretty sure transfers don't count against recruiting class numbers. So theoreticaly, we could take them until we got to 85.

i would absolutely love to see mustain come in. it would ensure that bray would get the redshirt year and it would be a good situation for us and mustain. lets get it done.
