Missouri

I just realized I have long harbored the undeveloped notion that, one day, someone would look at a map of the United States and realize that Missouri is not in the southeast, and kick them out of our conference.
They are one of those weird states; at the south end they talk like hillbillies, and at the north end they sound like yanks.

Lol.
We are the new Vandy.
We are the pencilled in date for counting victories every school that plays us has, including Vandy.
No one fears us.
They want to play us.
Blow us out by half time and let the starters rest fourth quarter. We are basically a bye week for sec teams at this point.
Yeah Auburn and Kentucky agree. :)

It would sure be nice to shove that up a few people's... nose. Dude, you have no idea how bad I want to beat Florida this year. Every year it's the same with me, I want them more than anyone, but it's even more this year. I'm not predicting or expecting it, but... Well, you know what I mean.

I was laughing about my comment about your job. You should have picked up on it. If you think I'm following you, report me, I couldn't care less.

Dude, why would I report you?
I don’t need a safe space.
Just keep being you.
All though I am pissed you never gave me a recipe for lobster bisque. Thankfully, some other kind soul on here did and it was yummy and you can’t have any.

Trust me if the stadium went empty and the ratings dropped and the merchandise stopped moving then trust me they quickly take notice. 90k seats going empty is a revenue killer. UT must have the revenue to keep the lights on for every other sport but NCAAM.

But it will never happen.

Fans are loyal to a fault sometime. It’s almost like battered wife syndrome.

I agree with much of what you're say but I think CPF wants to win much like CJP. The problem is the dumb@sses that have been hired over the last decade. I get the feeling CJP is no nonsense and won't back down from the big boys to recruit 4 star players with mostly MAC and lower P5 offer lists unless they have something you can't teach like speed, size or an innate nose for the ball. And there are some hidden gems out there. We've seen lesser programs cause us problems with them.

We've seen CPF come off the check book to help get it done so at this point I say he means business.

I agree and feel the same.
CPF loves UT as much or more than every fan on here. Bringing us back matters to him.

Him hoisting a trophy with a coach he hires would also be a nice screw you to the past AD that decided to fire him and hire thr crap we had.

Well that's not going to happen. Folks are NOT going to stop going to games. So, in the mean time all we can do is hope that skilled people that love the university and a winning program MORE than money and power are hired to run the show...

It pisses me off too.
The sooner the majority of fans stop accepting the crap the sooner it will end.
I think Fulmer is the beginning of change but we fans must be vocal and stop accepting mediocrity.
But bro..we got sick completion % on the offense!!

It just sounds like a bandwagon fan, someone who just shows up when everything is turning up roses. Jmo

It’s been 21 years since we won the SEC.
If anyone on here is a bandwagon fan they clearly don’t understand the concept of being a bandwagon fan.

We got a guy who will spend it where it’s needed. So give him more!

Stop accepting what mediocrity? The simple fact is there were no big time head coaches who wanted to come to TN thanks to our glorious string pullers. We fans used up our leverage with the Schiano deal.

Multiple top coaches wanted the job that Hamilton gave kiffin. They are on record.

And yes we could hsve gotten better than Dooley when Kiffin left. We were not that far removed. Don’t believe the lies.

Not lies. Opposite of your narrative. None of which explains how taking money from the equation enables more spending of the same. 😏

I thought you meant just recently with the hiring of Pruitt. I agree with you. We should have never been allowed to fall this far. But like you said, thanks to Hamilton and little Jimmy, here we are.

Kiffin should have never been on our radar. Just like Dooley and Botch.

Boycotts work.
Anyone who doesn’t think so just follow the stock market for a second.
Sometimes they cause firings, sometimes they have the reverse like Chick-fil-A and drive revenue....but boycotts move the needle.

TN fans have went public once and got schiano gone but somehow the fans still don’t realize they have power.

They do. Use it.

Totally agree.
I agree things are changing but I fear we almost lucked/fell into CPF as the AD.
Us bringing back Chaney is huge and says a lot about where we are headed.

Mebbe recognize not accepting a foisted coach and removing resources are two different animals? Remove a source of money but expecting to spend more to improve the product is an exercise of stupidity. That’s why the fanbase that was SMART enough to repel Schiano won’t buy your EMPTY NEYLAND fail.

I can't guarantee that Fulmer or anyone else will always make the best decisions, but I think Fulmer truly wants what is best for UT. I am not convinced that was true for last 3 ADs, (or the 2 previous Chancellors for that matter). I think football will get much better under Pruitt, given time.
