The Tennessee baseball team put runners on base in eight of nine innings, but just never could get the big hit needed to break through as Mississippi State claimed the series finale, 5-2, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

I see no reason to have a coach. Just let the kids "playground" it. We can't do any worse than LAST in the league, and we're already there.

You mean we DO have a baseball coach?? The way this team plays I figured they were coaching themselves, sort of like an intramural team.

Another Hellish weekend except worse than last time because Osborne got injured.
I think he won't play for the rest of the season because all the Vols have to play for is not finishing last in both the SEC East, and SEC overall.

It is Morbid May for the Vols.

Yep

"if you go 1-for-17 with runners in scoring position, there’s nothing you can do. I can’t hit for them, and if I could I would.”

Norfork had a hell of a day at SS up until the time I left. Two of his stops for outs I thought were for sure base hits. He made the game interesting. Besides that I just got sunburnt. lol

Well, at least he can be proud of the way they kept the momentum rolling.

Yeah but still futile similar to how Osborne had a amazing series hitting vs the Gamecocks.

So Moral Victory but still 0 Wins In May.
