Congratulations to Andraya!

And speaking of Draya aka Miss Dribbler when is she going to get her act together on the court? It's been going on 5 years now as a Lady Vol. If Draya wants to make a name for herself on the court she's going to have to get a whole lot better.

Personally, I do not think she's a point guard because she hasn't played like one.

She's more capable at the 2 spot because she dribbles less there... Andraya needs to work on her game over the summer. This is it!

She'll need to work on her dribbling less and keeping her head up to canvass the court while dribbling. I hope she's working on those two things, specifically. She would become a much better player. I hope she is getting direction to improve in those areas.

I still have high hopes for Draya. When she played as a freshmen I was excited for her playmaking. Maybe, as a senior she'll get to back what worked for her as a freshman.

Carter is a good player she just needs to cut down on the silly turnovers & fouling. She is a solid defender but tends to commit silly fouls. She has become a better shooter since coming to Knoxville but still needs work there.

I thought she only shot well her redshirt freshman year. She misses a lot of layups and allows players to drive at will. She's also hesitant to take any jump shot.

This reminds me of a story I heard about Jane Wyman and Ronald Reagan. They were going to have important guests over so Wyman put a note on the hand towels in the bathroom : If you use these I will kill you! When the guests left, she found the towels,unused, with her note still on them!

If you are told repeatedly not to shoot 3s, you kind of lose your confidence in shooting them.

She was told repeatedly to shoot more last season, and she didn't. Holly said as much in at least 3 interviews during a stretch when they were really struggling to score. And even after that, she still wouldn't shoot.

The problem is that Andraya is exceptional off the court, but she's just not a good basketball player. She's a liability when she's on the court for extended periods of time. Truthfully, she shouldn't be playing more than 10 minutes a game.

What I heard were a lot of mixed messages.

Then, towards the end of the season, she threw Draya under the bus. I am surprised Draya is staying on for another year.

The problem that seem to affect most of the LV shooters was, "Do I shoot or do I pass it inside?" Holly repeated, in nearly every interview that the LV offense was inside. It appeared on many occasions that shooters would stop and almost look as though they wanted to shoot outside shots but threw the ball inside. In many instances the outside shot was the better option. Look at the many times Graves had an open 10 foot jumper but threw it inside. It almost seemed that the team was so indoctrinated with the inside offensive game that they lacked the needed confidence to shoot the outside shot.

You can tell players to shoot the outside shot, but are you practicing in that manner? Practice brings confidence, especially if your practices are similar to actual games. You can't practice throw it inside offense and then expect to have much outside offense in actual games.
