The plan has been to address this via the great dodgeball video that clearly demonstrates Vols football is now one happy family. Fans seemed to like it based on what I have been reading on volnation. Fingers crossed it will work miracles with recruits as well! :cool:

Oh yeah. Because not naming the staff really is what is making Tennessee Football look bad. Not the mess Fulmer and Pruitt made....it’s Heupel/White’s faults. Got it.

Meanwhile the last coaching circus was a national circus of humiliation...I’m glad they’re keeping they’re mouths shut. Heupel needs to hire the perfect fit. The offensive staff was a no brainer. If it ain’t broke don’t break it. The defensive staff must be solid...we will know when we need to know. The players/transfers/recruits will know before any of us.

Because they would have read the press release of there had been one? Surely you’re not that dense.

They’ve heard of Heupel. He’s talked to every one of the guys the assistants have been calling. They know who’s calling from Tennessee.

I doubt that it has any impact on any recruits or current players in the portal. It is a little odd how secretive Danny likes to be. I guess I get it with the head coaching search. We’ve looked bad in the past as other coaches just use us for leverage with their current employers. But with assistant coaches I don’t get the need to be secretive.

I agree that it hasn't helped UT to delay the staff announcements. I think timely announcements would have helped, if only by generating a buzz, but I wouldn't know how to gauge how much.

I also think it's just a strange look, that UT appears to be playing "hide the ball" for a bit with the announcements. I see no value in it.

In a perfect world, it would have already been announced, but given his time on the job, it is way more important that he gets the hire right than it is that he gets it announced. Tomorrow is plenty soon enough. Yes, I would bet a few select recruits may already have a good idea of who it will be, if that information was necessary.

I think White is playing hardball with the local sports media. You know they are aware from recruits whip has been contacting them, and it’s known that white will make the staff announcement.
I think he’s making sure everyone’s in line so we don’t have this thing spun like the media has done in the past

Just because they haven't announced the coaches in what you have set in your timeline doesn't mean anything. They work at their own pace and when it's all said and done we will have a full coaching staff. Their timeline > Your timeline.
