Don’t need to, I can find you tripping right here on this one.

Tebow is the greatest college QB of all time and among the greatest college players of all time. The sooner you come to grips with that fact the sooner you can start healing.
Yep your a homer...I have nothing to trip here...I’m as homer as they come right here in VolNation.! I’m celebrating my 50th year From being 7 and loving the Big Orange Team !!! Trust me NO he’s not the greatest college QB. to ever play. That’s your HomeriZum !!! There’s a lot of other team fans out there that would disagree.

Well since you asked me to trust you, I will. You’ve convinced me, he was just another average dude.

Let’s hope Milton is nothing like him and can actually achieve greatness.

Tebow was a dink and dunk kind of QB. He finished 16th all time in SEC history with 9285 total passing yards in his career. Hell Chris Leak finished with 11,213 making him 4th on the list. Tim Tebow will always be the greatest passing running back to ever play college football. That is it. He was great at what he did without a doubt. Most certainly a special kind of athlete. With all that said...he simply had garbage mechanics. Not a knock on the guy. It is simply the truth. He had such great weapons around him for most of his career Percy Harvin, Aaron Hernandez, Chris Rainey, Riley Cooper....he would under throw them and they'd make great catches then run up the YAC yards.
Aaron Hernandez... sheesh.

Him and Tebow would roll into SEC towns as the "Heaven and Hell Tour".

With that roster of thugs it was more like “The Saint and Sinners Tour”…I mean look what happened to those hot Gator cheerleaders after being associated with those guys during the Meyer era now…

Lol sacked 8 times in 6 games doesnt scream that at all to me. Especially for a 6'5 250 lb qb that has 4.6 speed. He needs work like all the others.
Milton isn't considered a run threat and defenses will prepare that way. The QB on the Vols team that will create havoc on opposing defenses would be Hooker imo. Not sure of his accuracy or his ability to read defenses quick though. I really don't know what the coaches are looking for in a starting QB but it seems as though each of the 4 are lacking in some aspects.
Live game reps should decide the eventual starter, imo because those are the situations that count most. I'd play all 4 in the first 3 games to get a better idea.

Cam and Burrow were both objectively better. Statistically Burrow had the best season of all time and Cam carried Auburn to a natty by himself. The fact Cam made Chizik a national champion is about all the proof you should need.

At the time he hung them up at Florida, I don’t think there was any doubt he was the best ever. He’s been gone for over a decade and others have certainly had great seasons, the two you mentioned for sure. But even in their cases, it was all-time great SEASONS, in Tebow’s case, it’s still hard to match his career, his total body of work. Let’s compare careers with the two you mentioned:

Passing yards -
Tebow - 9285
Burrow - 8852
Newton - 2908

Passing TD’s -
Tebow - 88
Burrow - 78
Newton - 30

Rushing yards -
Tebow - 2947
Newton - 1586
Burrow - 820

Rushing TD’s -
Tebow - 57
Newton - 24
Burrow - 13

Total TD’s -
Tebow - 145
Burrow - 81
Newton - 54

Those Tebow rushing stats, especially TD’s, to this day are insane. And the total TD’s are absurd.

But I have no problem amending my comment from “Tebow is the greatest college QB of all-time” to “Tebow is among the greatest of all-time”, or “Tebow is arguably the greatest of all-time.”

Any of those statements are fair.

I definitely agree with one of the greatest ever. I also think a lot of the push back on Tebow comes from how hard the media mercilessly pushed him. Anyone claiming his nfl numbers take away from his collegiate success are also wrong.

Attacking Tim Tebows character in a TN QB thread? Man how classy.
Screw Tebow. A premadonna who was to good to play tight end until all other options ran out. He probably would’ve won multiple Super Bowls with the patriots if he had swallowed his pride and played tight end. I guess his religion tends to draw fans to him, but he always seemed to have a certain level of fakeness to him.

Right on, besides anyone that attends Florida is a pile of human trash

Finally, someone else who realizes he's faking it. He's kept this act up for 33 years of his life, how much longer can he realistically keep it up? 40? 50 more years? Probably 70 tops.
