Milton seems pretty pleased with his performance last night

So this is what I take away from that. Milton is probably a tad over confident given some things he needs to work on. He may even be a little too casual given his natural abilities. But comparatively speaking, JG was hectic, antsy, shaky, late on throws and indecisive. So what our other quarterbacks, I will take over confident any day of the week over that.

The guy has natural ability. He knows it, I know it, the coaches know it. He has reason to be confident. And I am darn glad he is. He is OUR QUARTERBACK!

He looked okay on the first few possessions, meaning he is doing his job. He wasn't bad, but it wasn't good competition. He definitely lacks ability to perform i.e. you've probably seen the ceiling.

TJ Finley twin.

He needs to look at Jalen Hurts after his first victory at OK. Even with that record he was like I gotta do better, stuff to clean up, I know he's Bama but that dude is what I call the ultimate team player.

As for CJH commenting he didn't think about pulling Joe. Yeah I don't think too many coaches are going to pull their starting QB, even if he's having a bad passing day but not pick 6, they're winning, BG was dropping 8 so they ran the ball and took what BG offered, he was quick getting them lined back up and ready to go quickly with the next play. If he continues to struggle we may see a change around game 3/4

CJH also called out a lot of stuff Milton did wrong and needs to work on. How often did Pruitt do that with JG. Let's see how the next 2-3 games go.

Confidence is a good thing, but being able to hold yourself accountable and admit when you let your team down is equally as important in a QB. I like his mentality that the team is still working through things, but I want to hear him say he wasn't satisfied with his performance and wants to do better.

If he's going to continue to improve like some of you suggest, he's only going to do that by being unsatisfied with his current play and performance.

He’s definitely more confident in his ability than I am.
Joe Milton assesses his performance in Tennessee opener vs. Bowling Green

It seems like most of Milton's quotes in this article are talking about how they need to improve and he believes they can. I read confidence with enough humility to know they have work to do to improve.

“I played good,” Milton said. “There’s a lot to learn from as an offense, but we’ll get better.
“Everything,” Milton added when asked what particular areas on the offensive side of the ball need to improve. “There’s a lot to learn from. There’s a lot of things to clean up as an offensive unit, but we’ll get it done for sure.”

Can we ship him back to Michigan? He sucks.

Do you guys feel it’s something he can improve on? The only QB that comes to mind recently that improved throughout the season was Compton and I know Huepel develops QBs pretty well.

Tennessee
The only school to have a 32 point win seem like a loss
A 32 point win against a team that was winless last year. We should have easily put 50+ points on the board last night. If Milton is impressed with completing less than 50% of his passes against a horrible defense he needs a reality check.

If Tennessee wants to get back where they want to be they simply can not ever be in a fight with BG at the half.
Like 4-7 Memphis in 1996? We were a top 5 program in the 90s and allowed that to happen but we are going b**** and moan about a 30+ point victory? No wonder the rest of the country hates our fan base.
