serious que. after last nite, ive decided for sure to get a gun. i need to find a safety class for it. are these online, or what? i can't find a course here in huntsville.

let me say i've lived in my current subdivision for 10 months. it's a really nice and quiet place. mainly young families or retired couples who live in here. i'm the youngest here by far. well 2 wks ago a man(probably in his 50's and his white trash daughter i'd say in early 20's) moved in.

last nite her dad was gone. so she decided to have her trashy and ghetto friends come over at 1 in the morning. let me say that our culdasac has about 7 houses near it. 5 of them there are small children who live in them. well her and her friends are outside making all kinds of noise, cussing, ranting and raving. well a young brother from the hood and a white trash girl get in a fist fight(i'm watching from my window). well everyone runs outside breaks it up. more cussing at this point. well the girl gets in her car, drives thru the neighbors yard and out their driveway(thank goodness it wasn't mine cause all hell would have broke loose). well the hoodrat pulls out a gun and fires 3 shots at the mustang.

seriously wtf, our neighborhood is nothing like this. well the sherriffs are called and they do nothing but a warning. 10 minutes later the crew is back outside ranting and raving again. i finally go to bed about 3ish once i see that the hood rat has left.

is there anything that as a homeowner we can do to help prevent this? personally i want them out of the neighborhood

they gave a warning for shots fired in a neighborhood? Seems wrong

Are you going for your concealed carry permit or just safety classes? Call your local police station and see if they can recommend any good classes.

I'm not sure what the law is where you live. But I'd talk to a lawyer, maybe with some other neighbors. Is there a homeowners' association?
