Tuition assistance benefit has been cut for service members in most branches. Not sure if all but for sure army and Air Force.
Obviously, but come on man. No need to cut money that is being put to productive use by members of the military. There is a long list of crap that should be cut before this.
I think this was an added benefit. Realistically all they care about is you knowing the job you signed up for. If they wanted the save money they could do it with more productive training instead of sending 20k troops to the desert while 75% of them twiddle their thumbs.
What about the guys like me who were pursuing their degree so they can apply to OCS? That is bettering oneself and the service at the same time.
