Miles or Kiffin are proven and good for 8 or more wins right away. Guaranteed.

Either could stabilize things and get us to a decent bowl game and calm everyone down. Both would be accepted with open arms too.

Could someone explain why Kiffin is such a “sure thing” all of a sudden? He was 7-6 here, and got fired from USC because he couldn’t coach. Granted, I think he’s one of the better options left, but he’s not a guaranteed winner.

Kiffin didn't win 8 games in his 3rd year in the PAC 12 with the consensus number 1 preseason team in the country. Worst underachieving team of all time

HE won 7 games with UT in a mess. And USC in an even bigger mess. UT is not in a bad place right now. As far as talent is concerned. And most consider him one of the top offensive minds in the game. That’s not even in question. We can’t score points if we had 15 players on offense playing against 11.

Im still waiting on you to tell me how 8 wins are guaranteed when he hasn't done it yet.

HE has one won twice as many Games as he has lost as a HC in college. That’s a major improvement from the no name guys we have been interviewing lately. Tell me one guy we have interviewed better than Kiffin record wise. Exception Gundy who said no.

Won 8 games first year at USC under bad circumstances. And 2 more than Fulmer his first year at TN following Fulmers last year. Offensive output went up 60%

Please stop, he's not coming.

Kiffin is a ~.600 coach in the P5 and has never won a bowl game as a head coach.

You have no idea who has been interviewed, internet rumours don't count as a source.

He went 7-6 with Dooley's recruits - and the cupboard was bare.

he made Jonathan Crompton look like a pro QB.

The man knows how to score points and win games.

I hadn't heard that he got a interview

He was LOADED with 5 star talent at USC. The scolly numbers were down and consequently the depth, but the talent there was astonishing.

You're making a case he should be an OC somewhere.

Hopefully somewhere that he doesn't incessantly troll on twitter or poach recruits from on his way out of town.

Miles record looks better
He's a proven winner in SEC
And the NCAA doesn't follow him like a excited 15 year old boy

First. Has anyone bothered to look at the schedule next year? I don't know if I see 6 guaranteed wins next year. We get UF and UGA back to back then and off week and then guess what... we get Auburn and Bama back to back. Throw in an opener against WVU, USC and the rest of our schedule and I see 3 locked in wins, that's it.

As far as Lane goes, well

In 2009 here we;
Beat WKY at home 63-7
Lost to UCLA at home 19-15
Lost to then ranked #1 UF on the road 23-13
Beat Ohio at home 34-23
Lost at home to Auburn 26-22
Beat UGA at home 45-19
Lost to #1 Alabama on the road 12-10
Beat #21 USC at home 31-13
Beat Memphis at home 56-28
Lost at Ole MIss 42-17
Beat Vandy at home 31-16
Beat UK on the road 30-24 OT

He got Crompton to the NFL when it was obvious he couldn
t hit water if he fell out of the boat. He was never on my wish list, but with what we have to choose from, if you are looking for production on the field he "one of" the better options

No. I dona't want to see Kiffin at Tennessee ever...unless, he starts looking like a Saban clone. Then? Well, let's talk.
