Because after someone suggested Rick Neuheisel, nothing surprises me.

You knew he was an offensive genius when he got fired and replaced with Les Steckel.

So yeah. Mike Shula.

But there would be some pros:
- Mike is an easy name to spell
- He already has experience losing at Neyland
- He knows Jon Gruden
- He spends a lot of time in Florida...so while we may not go bowling, he might know where to get good tickets

Plus we know no one in Alabama would ever try to subpoena him and make him stay in their state any longer than necessary.

In all seriousness, what happens if Hamilton hires someone of Shula's caliber?

I mean...there are oodles of no talent coaches who keep finding jobs...apparently the Dolphins almost offered him the HC job.

What happens if we get a known commodity, but it's a Mike Shula or a Hal Mumme?

Once again mods, if you would just give us faildozer back we could nip this crap in the bud, but instead you ban him and now you see this crap every day on the boards...

Just delete the thread. I was unaware that jokes about hiring Mike Shula were not tolerated, but jokes about killing posters in cold blood were.

What makes any of you think Shula would take this crappy job anyway? They cannot even get a Big12 coordinator. Why would a former Bama hfc come to Knoxville?

Bammer hired Shula because no one else wanted the job. We may be in the same position.

Or maybe we won't . . . you'll realize that I can see your IP address . . . and you can go back to being a Bammer fan and stop trolling opposing message boards.

Hamilton's seat gets extremely hot extremely fast. Lets hope that this doesn't happen. I'm not a fan of Hamilton, but I still hope/expect him to make a better hire than this type coach.

I do, too...but there always seem to be people that manage to get big time jobs with little time talent.

Although Mike hasn't really failed yet at finding coaches...so there's no reason to worry that he'd land us Gerry Dinardo.
