Mike Patrick: More Aggrevating Than A Loose Hoe Handle

I have never made any bones about it. I hate Mike Patrick and will not watch a game he calls unless it's a Vol game. This %#$@*&!!$ should be strangled. I get absolutely sick of his biased reporting, if you can call it reporting. I was ready to turn the tv off and just read the game thread as it unfolded but when the Vols light the wick in the second half, I loved listening to him munch on his big plate of crow. The Vols did two things great for me tonight. They destroyed Georgia and they finally shut that loud mouthed TURKEY up for once. I don't often wish bad luck on anybody but it would tickle me as much to hear ESPN had fired him as it would for the Vols to win another NC!

i don't know really where this is coming from. he was great on the sunday night NFL game that espn used to show. like i said i had it on mute but i could tell the broadcast might have been biased because they always showed georgia's sideline and talked about tereshinski's family while he was being outplayed.

i thought that was really stupid, because if there's anyone with famous family members it's ainge.

The thing I can't stand about him is he makes everything sound like it's the biggest play in the world.

Could you draw any other conclusion? I think I made my feelings very clear on the matter. I didn't expect any replies to my post anyhow. Just needed to vent a little. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, just hate to listen to Mike Patrick. And I do speak the truth when I say I refuse to watch a game (except a Vols game) that perfect argument for birth control ESPN calls an announcer works.

He was great on the NFL games? You can't be serious!
So you muted the sound last night. Therein you were fortunate.

I wanted to reach throught the TV and smack them all, they were on Georgia's jock from the very start, just drooling over Joe T and he's a chump, I knew if we could stop the run he or fat stafford could not beat us

He is better than Gary Donaldson!! He's the freak'n one that needs strangled. I think the guy live's in Tim Teabow's jock strap.

Todd Blackledge was far worse than Patrick...when JoeT threw that obvious grounding that wasn't called Patrick laughed at Todd. Todd said somebody was there...they showed the replay and Patrick started laughing and said, "Where? in the stands?"

Todd still wouldn't back down though...that red and black runs thick.

In the end we won...so it really doesn't matter.

Yeah, I also didn't like how the montage at half time was 90%Georgia. All the clips were of Ainge getting sacked, Georgia getting TD's, some Vol getting tackled, etc. I know we were losing, but we had a few decent plays in the first half that they could have showed.

I am SO glad that I'm not alone in this! It seems that almost every announcer or color commentator we get just can't seem to praise the other team enough, while leaving us to take on the role as an "also ran!"

They then start to eat a little crow when we start doing really well.

Did you hear Mike Patrick choking on himself late in the game. He was looking for some Jack Daniels to wash down all that "crow," but could only get that nasty Georgia swamp water!

No decent Vol fan would give him any Jack Daniels, 'cuz it's too good for the likes of him! :)

Looking at a bulldog site last night and those guys had a bunch of posts about how biased the announcers were in favor of the Vols. Talk about red and black glasses...I was blown away.
