If not Gruden Mike Nolan Would be my next pick. Great defensive guru and defense wins championships! Think he could recruit too. I have not seen his name mentioned on here.

He's certainly impressed the Falcon players. Several good articles on him since he replaced VanGorder. He really mixes it up which I like a lot.

nope not yet was watching seal team six NGC fixing to switch over. I liked him when he was with ravens and i grew up a 49ers fan and what he did with broncos defense and did watch the Flacons broncos games this year.

I thought of this name too. He started in college football, but fell into the Dan Reeves/Bill Parcells coaching tree. I would think he would like to be a head coach again, but not sure he wants to come to the NCAA. He was under a tough situation in SF at the time. The York family was driving that franchise into the ground and not giving him much help. Now their nephew, Jed York is starting to come around and I believe his uncle, Eddie Debartalo (former owner) has had some influence on that.

Give it a rest with all these NFL coaches that haven't coached college in ages. It just makes you all look stupid.

Especially Mike Nolan. He has a head coaching record of 18-37 in the NFL and hasn't coached in the college ranks since 87'.

Exactly. Like these guys can just come in and be our version of, or personification of Nick Saban as it relates to Bammers success as of late.

What was Pete Carroll record in NFL? What was the ole ball coach record in NFL? Or even Nick Saban's? And the reason people want these NFL coaches is cause everybody knows we need a a hire that will spark energy and kids what to play for someone who can get them to the NFL and teach the NFL schemes! lets not forget these kids are not coming to Tennessee for a education they are coming for a chance to make it to the NFL. We are always at the bottom in graduation rates and overall GPA with our football team be real!

I respect your opinion i was just throwing it out there to see what people thought. So judging bye what your saying here if Gruden wanted to coach here you would not want him cause he hasn't coached in college in ages?
