Mike Matthews to portal? [He’s staying]

But does the means justify the end?
for him it does. get paid. thats the whole idea after hs. idk why people so mad at these guys for doing exactly the very same thing we've all been doing since hs. getting paid and finding ways to get paid more.

It seems pretty clear he visited Tennessee during the Alabama game in 22. He saw Jalin Hyatt and the offense running up and down the field and decided that's where he wanted to be.

Then last year and this year happened AND he wasn't sure what was happening with Nico so he got his name submitted to give him time to "let it marinate".

So if the offense was going in the same direction as the past 2 years and Nico put his name in the portal he was gonna leave too. Evidently he got answers. It plainly said it was never about money.
Not ragging on you, but that "let it marinate" (whatever that means) is the biggest bunch of horse **** I have heard all day. I'll bet if a better deal shows up in the spring he will be out of here.

That's cool.

I've seen no indication whatsoever this was about money. The marinate comment was a poor choice of words but I knew what it meant. Alot of stuff was going on and there was a deadline for him to make a decision to stay or go. He bought himself some time to make that decision.

I'm glad it all worked out.

I've never seen a mature 18-22 year old young man. Although if you have got the proper procedure for these young men to handle certain things maybe you should send the procedure to each one of the players in College Football.
Give me a break. I've seen plenty of mature young men in all walks of life.
These two acted like self-centered prima-donnas. It's not a requirement for being a college athlete, though we see fewer and fewer with solid character these days.
I understood their concern about the direction of the offense, though part of the problem is shared by the players.
But you handle concerns privately with the coaches.

.... for now. I don't trust him to stay.
