My bad. I didn't realize how huge this game was for OU, TT, and the other UT. I can't believe the 'Horns are positioned in third place in the BCS. The only caveat is that you have to win your conference to be considered for a shot in the NC game. I had heard that the BIG XII would allow the final regular season BCS rankings then determine which team would represent the B12 south as the tie-breaker between the three schools.

I really believe people start these rumors to force the coach they want to say yes or no. The problem with this thinking is, you don't get a true answer. It's very easy to say, "No im not interested in the Tennessee HC job", if no one has offered it to you. On the other hand it makes you and your agent look real good.

This wouldnt be the ideal hire in my mind, but a good one no doubt. His offese is proven in the SEC with Kentucky of all teams. If his offense could put up big numbers with Kentucky, imagine what it could do with us. Our team isnt that bad fellas, its the coaching thats the problem.

I write a blog for Tennessee fans in Chattanooga. For all of the fans who may not be members of any fan forums or listen to talk radio. The blog is for Tennessee fans in Chattanooga to share their thoughts on Tennessee sports. The report came from a friend of mine who told me that an Austin television station had reported that Tennessee had offered him the job. I do know that media personnel in Knoxville had said that they are checking on the report to see if it is true. That's all I know. The good thing about a blog is that I can write pretty much whatever I want, it's not an article, its all opinion. I do not however write anything that is just fabricated by me. All info comes from first hand knowledge or by information given to me.

This could be wishful thinking on the part of some Horns fan, just as easily as it could be wishful thinking on the part of some Vol fan. I'm sure that there are plenty in Austin who would be happy to see Leach leave Lubbock. So, there may not be too much difference in the quality of the rumor based on its place of origin.

Leach= The most sucess texas tech will ever have.....ummm......your a smart one to think tech fans want him gone.

Well the people who want Leach are the same people that think he is a great coach after never finishing better than 17th in 8 years and never finishing better than 3rd in his division.

He's had one great year and a whole bunch of 7, 8, and 9 win seasons- that's right, he's never won more than 9 in his tenure.

Yes, but he is doing it while at lowly texas tech. If you give him more tools he could do better. Plus, I see an evolution going on with his team, In my opinion, he is learning how to be more balanced and hence his recent succes against good teams.

I agree that he may not be the best fit for Tennessee, but I like his style of football, and would be thrilled if he gets the job.

If played tonite, TT 77 UT 10. Thats considering UT forces 2 fumbles inside the TT 10 yard line and Lincoln actualy makes a FG. Yeah I'd hate to see that kind of coach here. Psssst did you here he has a pirate fetish. Sure that wont set well with the blue blood donors.

Fan reaction... as if the athletic department isn't aware of VN and doesn't monitor it. That's interesting that they'd feel they need to go this far.

Having Leach's name out there as a possibility damages our ability to attract a real coach. That's bad strategy. I don't think that's what's going on in this case.

If you float a name, float a good one to help improve the effort and not a bad one that drags it down.
