Mike Leach (Texas Tech)

If anything, I was saying your son just might be good enough for Kiffin to come calling. I have no idea whether you have a son or whether he plays football or not.

My point was about Kiffin and his recruiting abilities and your failure to acknowledge them. That's all.

If I offended you or your son (if you have one), of course, I apologize.

Most importantly, if by chance your name is Giles and not Smith, please send your son to UT. We will take care of him and enjoy watching him play football for the Vols!:)

apology accepted.. thanks
and dont worry if my son ends up being good enough for UT to want then i'll do anything in my power for him to go there.. my daughter (18 months) already has a UT cheerleader outfit and loves it when they sing Rocky Top

Good luck with them! I'm sure we both want the same thing for UT.

And... Go Vols!:hi:

he averages 2 more wins per year than Dykes
he's never had a losing season and taken his teams to bowls every year
he beats teams with more talent
he's shown continual track of program improvement at a forgotten about program

And when he gets the level of talent year in and year out that UT does he will win championships.

Leach is not Urban Meyer. Meyer believes in a running game and special teams.

Pssstt...Dude, Let You in on a secret ok...Promise not to tell anybody...But...Texas Tech this season has rushed for 1338 yards and 25 rushing TD's so far this season...Yeah...Shhhh!!!..I know, You feel embarrassed, It's ok....:wink2:

There cannot be a worse place in all of football, both NCAA and NFL combined, to start out as a HC than "The Raiders" with Al Davis breathing down your neck.

If Leach's luck holds he might get a chance to match wits with Urban. My bet would be squarely on the Gators to win and win in a big way. It's just another season for Urban, but it's the only season for Leach.

He's no Urban Meyer and what we need is someone better than Urban to beat Urban... not just in their one magic year, but with regularity. Get the picture?

This is a very good point. I must say that Jones and Dallas would probably come in second. Man, I REALLY do NOT like that guy. An ego the size of Montana!!

Sorry, a little off topic here. You just got me thinking about it. :)

People want to talk about Leach loosing 4 games a year in the Big 12. Well this love affair for Davis confuses me. Davis lost 3 games every year with the exception of 2000, in a VERY weak Big East conference. He had top level recruits out of South Florida and still lost that much. Yes, in 2001, Miami won the national championship when he was in Cleveland, but regardless, I dont think that resume with the quality of players he had is better than Leach. I would conclude that if Leach goes to the Big 12 Championship game and wins, it would be a FAR BETTER coaching job than Davis' 2000 season.

He is actually pretty subdued when he is just talking in person. Almost like he has taken some zanax or something, but he has a strange quirkiness to him at the same time.
He says some crazy things sometimes.

Now when he is pissed, is a different story! Alot of energy there!
