Mike Leach (Texas Tech)

i'll pass. there's a reason he's been there 8 or 9 years and has still even yet to make a big 12 championship appearance.

You could one day say the same thing about Spurrier after his 8th year at South Carolina. It doesn't mean he couldn't get it done at a place like, oh I don't know, Tennessee.

yeah, they're called Texas and Oklahoma.

ever since leach has been there his teams have constantly folded for the most part whenever presented against quality competition

That's not true. Tech's defeated Oklahoma twice in the last four years.

hence why i said "for the most part." since 2002, leach has a 38% win percentage against top 25 teams.

and i'm not saying it wasn't a good win, but the oklahoma team that tech beat in '05 was one of the weaker sooner teams that stoops has fielded in his tenure there.

I'll believe Leach more if he finishes the season very well, but otherwise, he hasn't shown much. He has won some big games, but their win loss hasn't been great.

A great coach could win the big 12 at Tech within 8 years. Leach isn't a great coach.

Lubbock's a dump. You can't out-recruit Texas or Oklahoma there...so, at best, you're going to have the 3rd most talented roster in your division. In conference, Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, Ok St., and A&M are all better destinations.

That's an uphill battle.

I don't want Leach as UT's next coach, because I think UT can do better. But Mike Leach has done a great job at Texas Tech.

you guys are stupid, Mike Leach is a saint he's exactly what Tennessee needs. All he does is score 50 points a game in a competitive big 12 and win games. There's no better recruiter/offensive genius (which is much needed) and he's also a pirate. there's no good reason not to get him. in the words of Mike Gundy, get your facts straight.

Judging by what he is doing tonight... I would love to have Mike Leach as our head coach. That team can score some points... I miss that feeling.

Mike Leach's offense is for real...anybody that says differently is A)not very bright B)clueless about football C)related to Fulmer

As I said several weeks ago. Gary Patterson is much better than Muschamp. There are many others better than Muschamp. Let Auburn, Clemson, Washington, or some other college have him. He wouldn't get us back to being an elite program again. Texas Tech has a great offense. But, UT needs no part of a defensive coordinator that gives up almost 600 yards !!!
