For one, Leach is the guy responsible for the talent deficit in this game. Stoops recruits, Leach does not.

For those who are tired of one game judgments, Leach is only a popular candidate because of 2 games and both came this year. Had he not beat Texas, he would not be a "prime" candidate for the job.

And for the record, I'm for Kelly or Kiffin.

Kinda difficult to recruit when the two teams around you are always top teams who get top talent year in and year out.

It's just like how it's harder for Stanford to recruit. They have Cal and USC competing for all of the in state recruits, so they get all of the scraps.

I say mark Leach off the list. The list seems to be getting smaller. Perhaps Hamilton has a suprise in mind but I am not counting on it.

Let me be the first to admit that I had totally over-rated Leach. :hi:

Really? Only two teams can get talent out of Texas? I'm pretty sure AnM and LSU along with other schools make a living out of pulling players from Texas. I'm also sure that UF, FSU, and UM all pull in top classes that are mainly just instate players which is very comparable to the talent level as Texas. Stanford has their own issue on recruiting. It's called high academic standards. TT doesn't have that same issue.

Kiffin has a bad record coaching the Oakland Raiders. Whoopty do. I guarantee your savior Mike Leach would have did no better. They were no more competitive with Art Shell and have gotten worse since Kiffin got fired. There are only a handful of coaches that would have did a better job with them under Davis and we've got a 0% chance of landing any of them.
