Didn't realize the tie in with daughter and Cutcliff...think we're going into an era where our D is back to something expected at a high level every year. And, assuming our offense is always going to be in the middle/upper tier of SEC, being able to roll out a strong D gives us a chance to start competing for championships. Yes, I've got my off-season Orange colored glasses on!

Says Cutcliffe was a father figure to him.
Cool stuff
When my youngest daughter was a Freshman, I took her to Cutcliffe's office and introduced her to him. I told him to take care of her since she was away from home. We talked for a few minutes and he open his desk drawer. wrote a phone number on a pad and gave it to her. he told her if she ever need to talk to him to call his unlisted number. He also told her to come by his office air least once to week to check in and just talk. I believe he took better care of her than I could have ever done. Her son went Ole Miss and Cutcliffe was always around the Athletic office. and my grand son met him. He told him all about my daughter and asked him keep in touch with him. He was a QB in High School in Atlanta and walked on at Ole Miss, but didn't make the squad. About a week later , he got a call from Kiffin who asked him if he would be willing to come out for Spring practice because they were short on QBs. He did and in the Fall, Kiffin asked him if he would become a student QB coach. He agreed and this past year when the Ole Miss QBs would come off the field, they would come to my grand son instead of the OC. He graduates in May and hopes to be blessed to either stay at Ole Miss or go to LSU.

"If youre coaching effort during the game, you've made a mistake somewhere else."

"Before a game, last thing I'll say is "all of your mistakes today are on me. All of the good things are on you, but the mistakes are on me."

Dang, that hits hard. I like this dude!

Also, there is no way in HELL Bob Kesling ever pulls an interview even Close to this. Totally different interview if Bob did it. Mike Keith asked some killer questions. So glad we got him.
