When my youngest daughter was a Freshman, I took her to Cutcliffe's office and introduced her to him. I told him to take care of her since she was away from home. We talked for a few minutes and he open his desk drawer. wrote a phone number on a pad and gave it to her. he told her if she ever need to talk to him to call his unlisted number. He also told her to come by his office air least once to week to check in and just talk. I believe he took better care of her than I could have ever done. Her son went Ole Miss and Cutcliffe was always around the Athletic office. and my grand son met him. He told him all about my daughter and asked him keep in touch with him. He was a QB in High School in Atlanta and walked on at Ole Miss, but didn't make the squad. About a week later , he got a call from Kiffin who asked him if he would be willing to come out for Spring practice because they were short on QBs. He did and in the Fall, Kiffin asked him if he would become a student QB coach. He agreed and this past year when the Ole Miss QBs would come off the field, they would come to my grand son instead of the OC. He graduates in May and hopes to be blessed to either stay at Ole Miss or go to LSU.Says Cutcliffe was a father figure to him.
Cool stuff
