Now I know he hired Bruce Pearl a couple of years back but other than that has been nothing but a puppet for Fulmer. Hamilton has continually given Fulmer raises during his tenure and Fulmer has done nothing to deserve this, and in the process has crippled our program. Hamilton has definitely put his friendship with Fulmer before our program and wanted to get some thoughts on whether he could be the worst AD currently in the NCAA?

Since Hamilton has nothing to do with firing Phil or anything of that nature, I would say he is one of the better AD's in the country.

No, there are much worse. As bad as Syracuse's coaching is there are also rumors the AD is as responsible. Look around and you can find much worse.

We need to pull a Matt Millen and gave him a card board box to put his stuff in and put a foot up his *** on the way out for that stupid contract!

No doubt. I'll bet there is so much Good Ole' Boy stuff under the table a movie might be made about this one day. This contract extension/raise is the powder keg that will blow all of Vol Nation apart.

Fire Fulmer/Chavis/Hamilton!

May not be the worst, but that contract he gave phil may be his undoing in k-town.

He didn't have anything to do with that contract. If you have read anything on here you would know that the boosters are paying it, not the school. It's their investment, when it starts to tank they will dump it.

Well apparently your sources are better than mine. Who's running the ad's office again?

I honestly don't understand the focus on Fulmer's contract. The contract is not the problem. The football team is. A sink full of water could eliminate that stupid contract.

Hamilton is not the head football coach. Fulmer is. The ire should at least be properly directed.

I don't think that the "university" has been running our athletic department like other universities for a while now. Too many corporate hands and private invstors in the cookie jar.

Football aside, he's brought in BP, upgraded TBA and Neyland so I think he's done a really good job.

The boosters have a huge part but Hamilton has had Fulmers back from day one. Hamilton knows that Fulmer can not right this ship but simply puts his friendship with Fulmer first. Hamilton has given Fulmer three raises since hes been AD and thats crazy. What since 2003 has Fulmer done to deserve a raise.

Just ribbing you:). Yeah i can't for the life of me understand why he was given basically a pass to stay as long as he wants. Hamilton seems like he would be smarter than that. That contract suggests someone who is at the top of their game and in high demand. That doesn't describe our current head coach.

Not that it's working, but maybe the raises, in MH's mind were some sort of incentive to improve. The contract extensions, I don't understand.

Exactly what has CPF done to warrant a raise.

look, i didn't say he's done anything. nor am i saying that i agree with the raises or the extentions.

i'm just saying that most people are looking at the raises from a "reward" perspective and maybe mike hamilton looks at them from an "incentive" perspective.

I imagine hamilton hates his job right about now.
