Completely ignorant statement. Next years in-state talent is much better and we really want some of them. So what happens...we already have commitments from 2 of them and Maybin has UT at top. Ramsey looks like UT will have a great shot with him. I mean it just takes a little common sense and some research to not make stupid comments like this.
Our talent started dropping off when Fulmer started signing more in-state guys. The bottom line is that TN is not a good high school football state. I think it's getting better, but we are way behind. Not enough good coaches and the TSSAA has too many stupid rules.
Griffith is one of those reporters that Twitter serves worst. He used to have to be interesting a couple times a week - manageable for many. Now he feels compelled to be interesting several times a day - manageable for few. It reveals that a) he's not interesting, b) he doesn't know what being interesting is, and c) he's a complete clown.
Mike Griffith's tweets literally hurt my brain. Every single one of them is such an epic fail on like 5 levels. I have no idea how that man is employed as a sports writer. It's honestly embarrassing.
The issue with Griffith is that he is on the GVXtra twitter feed, so if you subscribe to that you can't unfollow him and are inundated by his endless tweets about Fulmer, Chavis, and other wildly untimely garbage.
"So Tennessee has only one of the state's Top 24 ranked prospects according to 24/7? And people are saying this is a good class? #GetReal" -- Mike Griffith
He is to Phil Fulmer as Clay Travis is to James Franklin.
If this were Fulmer's class, he would be beating his chest and screaming at the top of his lungs from the top of the Empire State building, just how good this class is.
Sure, lets take the less talented players from our state over far more talented out of state recruits. Why? Why because they are instate boys, of course. Get the eff out with that mindless garbage.
