is without question the most utterly clueless allleged journalist on the face of the Earth.

What can you expect when his "specialty" is covering NASCAR. Surely the KNS could've found someone better to be the beat writer for Tennessee basketball.

I never cease to be amazed at the level of stupidity on display when these call in shows hit the air.

He would say the same about you when it comes to opinions on Tennessee athletics. I'm not saying I agree with him, I'm just recognizing that the two of you see each other as clueless.

I'm afraid to ask, but what did he do this time?
He's on a real roll tonight. He has blamed Dave Clawson for Fulmer's firing, said that Fulmer should not have been fired if Hamilton didn't have a replacement already lined up, and that having QBs wear green jerseys in practice is why Crompton stinks.

Strike 1, strike 2, and strike 3. Wow.

The day I say something remotely as stupid as "Steve Pearl can be a major contributor" he'll have a point. Griffith is a clown who has spent his time in Knoxville with his head shoved as far up John Chavis' ass as he can get it. He should have stuck with NASCAR. Analyzing cars going in circles is about as intellectually taxing a task as he can handle.

I'm very curious to see how all of these media hangers on handle the transition to a new coach. What they try to pawn off as journalism is really sad. The only one I even somewhat pay attention to is Dave Hooker.

That's even bad for Griffith. Which is saying a LOT.

Where were you listening?

Oh, no, Locker Room. I found it. Just in time for a real winner caller: "Why not go reverse and keep Fulmer and Chavis. . . ."

Sports journalism in the Knoxville area is pretty sorry from top to bottom. Hyams just changes his schtick from one show to another. Listening to Tim Irwin is just painful.

You're saying that an award-winning journalist can't handle UT athletics. I find him extremely good at basketball coverage, and he is a very devoted towards it, showing up at nearly every men's practice when most writers don't. He's one of the top at the News-Sentinel for a reason, and he's extremely fair towards the team, so the comment about his head being up Chavis' ass has no merit.

Show me a reporter that has better UT basketball connections or better coverage. Enlighten me hat.

I thought he was going to start crying on the show this morning.

Oh, good, now it's on the fans. And, Fulmer is going to Clemson and winning a National Championship in the first year.

Um, last I checked, the beat writer is supposed to be at every practice. He has to be devoted to it, it's his job!

There are many beat writers assigned to Tennessee basketball. I'm just saying he's the only one who is truly there.

Why wouldn't he show up for practice? It's his job. He has openly admitted he's Chavis' pal. Mike Strange doesn't even cover the team full time and his work is 100 times more worthwhile than anything Griffith does. He's at the News-Sentinel. That's the journalistic equivalent of being the head football coach at Louisiana-Monroe.
