was talking about the timing of this and saying that Mike Hamilton has possibly already hired a coach. Bill Cowher.

I don't think this would be the best hire. I think their are other guys out there that would fit better. CHRIS PETERSEN!!!!!

Ya, lets take Peterson over a guy who has a Superbowl ring. What was I thinking?

Cowher would be really nice. I just hope that he could recruit, but his name alone could help him that regard.

This class needs a little spit in the face to get fired up!!!!!!1

Ask Notre Dame about Super Bowl rings and what they mean.

Anybody on here who wouldn't take Cowher in a heartbeat is nuts. Talk about a splash

Get over yourself, it isn't that farfeched

Its not farfeched to think that Cowher will be contacted and possibly even interviewed for the position, but to start a post saying Mike Hamilton made a deal with Cowher while CPF still had the job is ridiculous

One thing we need--whether it's in the head coach or next OC--is a DAMN SHARP and DEMANDING AND CREATIVE offensive coordinator. That is a must.

Did Mike Griffith really say somebody is hired? I think he said Mike Hamilton already has somebody in mind, even though I don't believe him

Why would he come to Tenn for 3 million when he could coach in the NFL for 10 Million?

He retired. He may want back in the NFL - but maybe he would be interesting in trying something new - a different type of challenge... not for the money. It's obviously not likely but its not always about money with some of these guys.. he doesn't strike me as one that does it just for the money. He racked up quite a bit while he was at Pittsburgh and is still making some nice money.

would not want cowher at all

Glad you're not in on the hire.

I don't even think we need creativity. Look at Bama right now. Even florida doesn't do anything that's just mind-blowing, they just execute.

Chris Peterson inherited a good program. Not sure how he would handle a program that needs to be retooled. Unfortunately thats the situation he would inherit.
