Mike Griffith On Finebaum

Griff's holding on to the access as long as he can.

I agree. But I have to wonder, is his access really worth anything if he has to slant everything he reports?

These kind of media whores always confound me.

The Rams look like a different team now that he is gone. He is not a good coach.

Is that because their QB doesn't look like a rookie QB anymore and has a WR to throw to, or because they beaten 2 of the worst teams in the league in Indy and San Fran, and won against the Cowboys who look absolutely terrible...

This is exactly what I was talking about... Context matters... The Rams are going to get pummelled back down once they play teams that aren't hot garbage...

Maybe part that, and Im going the other direction because very few are over there.

Maybe it makes him feel more relevant since his name is mentioned more?

Ainge has the same feel.

I'm going to give MG the benefit of the doubt here and assume that he's just playing the heel in these segments. What he said is not completely unreasonable in wanting to see how the next few games go before committing himself, although I can also see Paul's angle that 'wait and see' is not a prediction. If Paul just wanted someone to come on and torch Butch, he could have Clay Travis as a guest.

Maybe PF keeps MG coming back just so he can abuse him. You know, just for the sport of it.

Ainge is controlled state run media. It's a job. He's much different in person.

I have a short commute home from work so I just caught that segment. That's about all of Paul I can take. The whole thing felt very fake. They definitely both seemed to be playing a part. The Jeff Fisher thing definitely threw me for a loop though. Lol.

I have tried to listen. Tried again lately with our situation. I heard some psycho calling himself War Daddy who gave all Vols a bad name then so wierd lady called Millie that he finally blew off.

My ears were bleeding when I turned the dial

Ive heard the same on the latter. He's selling it pretty hard on the job.

He's extremely fair, but in no way carries water in person. I think he likes the Head Coach on a personal level, and recognizes how difficult this situation can be when the fanbase turns. But he also understands his....limitations.

I heard the interview. Paul told Mike to stop "bloviating" and give an actual opinion!

I hope Mike pointed-out the irony that Finebaum has built his entire career off of people bloviating on the telephone.

I'm surprised Griffith didn't caveat Helfrich with him having to bring Sunseri back at DC.

He isn't going to do or say anything like suggesting a good candidate to replace Jones. He has been the unofficial mouth piece for him for 4 years now.
