A two quarterback system is always fun to discuss in theory, but is something that rarely works out in reality.

Hopefully a clear cut starter is named by Fall.

With "a natural born world beater" at QB we will be hard pressed to go 9-2 (or even close) next season. Too much for this to happen depends on line play on both sides of the ball.

We would not be running a two qb system. We will be running on offensive system with two qb's that may have slightly difference "best skills" but both running the same system. If o-line play is good, which ever qb is in play should make little difference.

QD was the leading rusher on his team! He only ran when
his protection broke down. 75% of his plays were passes. His accuracy and release is top notch. Butch and Bajakian gave his coach(Dad) the Tenn playbook and that was the offense that was run. The competetion he faced was
suspect. fyi.

One day after the end of spring practice:

"Earlier today, at exactly the same time, following a heated battle during Tennessee's spring practice, quarterbacks Quinten Dormady and Jared Guarantano announced independently on Twitter that they are moving on to other schools. Both told Jimmy Hyams they did not know the other was planning to do the same thing.

"That follows the earlier transfer of Sheiron Jones to Colorado, his second trip there.

"John Currie, UT Athletics Director, has called a 5 p.m. press conference in which he is expected to fire Butch Jones."

"Meanwhile, on one UT message board, 4987 members have expressed that the sky has indeed fallen, we are all going to die, and added in different ways that they had told everyone this was going to happen."

D and G on the field with Kelly as the back! Wolf and Jennings play tight end on either side ,Byrd plays WR!

I agreement. We don't want either to transfer.

However 2 points.
1. Where are we at in college sports when we are legitimately concerned a RS FRESHMAN will transfer if not named the starter?:thud:

2. What if JG is not a quitter? What if he wants to be the best he can be and will take being backup as a challenge instead of a slap in the face? What if he understands that even if he is a backup for the next 2 years he could still be a 2 year starter at UT?

Does this mean CBJ wants a game manager over athletic talent? I think so. I think it's in the bag Dormady starts against GT.

Neither should be scared of competition. Competition should push both to be their best. And Georgia tech won't know who to prepare for. If one transfers BC they're afraid if competing then they probably weren't the guy anyways. No idea why some would make this something to criticize Butch for when there are plenty of other things that he can be scrutinized over

Nothing to see here folks! Why would CBJ say anything other than that at this point? If he definitively chose one now the other would consider running for the door. Not something we need to deal with right now.
