You could dig up Bill Walsh and let him call plays and he's going to struggle with what we had last year between bad o-line play and injuries at WR.

Baggett is a silver lining, but losing coach Z bothers me. Azzani can flat out recruit. Losing him will hurt.

This just isn't possible. This scenario HAS to be false

This bunch of football geniuses thought Sunseri was a good hire.

There's nothing more comical than watching the Football Forum critique assistant coaches.

Dobbs is /not/ a pro-style QB--he is not a polished enough passer. His strength, right now, is his athleticism and his running ability. Dobbs is a weapon with the ball, an option who must be accounted for, and I can't imagine that we'd install a new scheme that didn't take full advantage of Dobbs' running skill. That would be insane.

I'm calling BS on this whole thread. This may end up being what happens, but I just don't see it happening this way. Butch knows that recruiting is the life blood of any team, let alone an SEC team. Azzani, Thig and Gillespie are the main recruiters for this team. No way CBJ lets 1/3 of his top recruiters leave and replace them with someone who hasn't recruited in years (Debord) and someone who was known for not wanting to recruit (Baggett).

True. However if you think Walsh would have ran the same handful of plays every game then you don't know that much about one of the greatest offensive minds the NFL has ever seen.

Not a splash hire. He has a bunch of experience calling plays though. If he sticks with the CBJ playbook and makes the right calls it could work.

We've seen attention seekers like the OP before. Folks need to wait for legitimate sources before jumping off the deep end. Use your heads. Does anyone really believe some yahoo on a message board will scoop every other media outlet? Don't be stupid. Just some kid looking for attention.

UT has hired lots of coaches. Ever hear of Randy Shannon, Lovie Smith, Jon Gruden, Charlie Strong? These are just a few of the football coaches being being hired according to VolNation. Basketball had the same "for sure" hires. Didn't hear Butch or Donnie's names until hours before the presser

Ahh, but the difference is those were considered "knock out" hires. Never has anyone started a thread about hiring a coach like Debord

Spot on! I looked at this attention seekers previous posts. Said negative things about Coach B and Coach Z would be the next OC! Ignore him! :loco:
