This guy is officially ignored by me, just on the basis of him bringing this to light, regardless if its true or not!

Edit: WILL NOT BELIEVE UNTIL CONFIRMED!

You have said that Dormady's dad will be QB coach, right? That seems really, really questionable. I would be irate if I were one of the other freshmen QBs or their parents.

He could be. Time will tell.

Regardless who is hired, there will be many irate people. There is no one that can be hired that will please everyone.

I find it hard to believe seeing coach Z was at the lady vols game with this daughter. Seems if I wanted to "move on" from my current job I wouldn't attend any more functions

If this is true then its a sad day on the hill. I really didn't think Butch could do anything that would make me think he isn't the guy for us. I guess I was wrong.

I fully expect the offense to take a huge step back and now the 8 win minimum expectation is no longer for me. I guess we should just brace ourselves for wallowing in the 6-7 win range for the foreseeable future. If this is all true that is.

Is this from memory or have you read this somewhere?

In all honesty, as someone said, this is Butch's offense so this guy will just be an extension of what Butch wants. Won't be much, if any, different than last year IMO

So another year of putrid offense? Spectacular. Just what we need. Another year of passes behind the LOS for little to no gain and predictable runs. Oh well.

If he does hire this guy and the Vols play for SEC championship next season, will you jump back on the bandwagon?

Based on the article I posted a few pages back, the most exciting thing about a possible Debord hire in 2008 was the potential that Loefler would follow him to UT.

I thought it was the qb that transferred to Arkansas? I can't remember his name at the moment.

So, the OP was in the same room when the contract was signed by Debord. Then walked out and saw Azzani sitting there, so sat down beside him. Azzani confided in the OP and told him his feelings about it all. He says he is leaving. As he walks away, he yells his replacement on the staff. Sounds fishy to me.

Which part didn't sound legit?

Maybe it's just me, but I thought that the offense looked pretty good in the bowl game, with some players back and healthy, and with the benefit of extra practices. I think that we could have scored 60 if we wanted.

I have just one question for Butch if he hires this guy. How does MD make this staff the "best coaching staff in the country"? I recall Butch promising us that when he was hired a few years ago.

Butch is going to have to spend a lot of time with the offense bring this guy up to speed on his schemes and plays!

On the bright side, the good news is that is will be hard to finish a season with a worse average in yards and points per game than Jake did the last two seasons as OC.

So I'm giving whoever Butch hires a fair chance to earn my respect and confidence.

GBO!!!

They guy understands offense it won't take him too long. Heck he could have been doing some studying during his years off. He also understands how to call plays most importantly.

If true you have to like the call to bring back Charlie Baggett I mean he is one heck of a WR coach I tell you.

We did look pretty good in the bowl game. However the final stats for our offense was pretty bad. If Debord does actually come here and do great, then I will be the first one to say how stupid I sounded.
