Mike Bellotti said that TN needs to watch out for ncsu's "great defense"... Do these guys ever do their damn homework?! If giving up 25 pts a game in the ACC while playing three OOC cupcakes and being ranked 60th in D makes you a great defense, then we must be looking for a season like the 2000 Ravens...Ncsu has a WAC level LB group and an inexperienced D- line... I don't understand where they are getting this "great defense" BS at...Anyway, merge if necessary

I've seen a lot of Jon Tenuta's work from when he was at Ga Tech. He may blitz more relentlessly than any DC I've ever seen.

As I posted in another thread they gave up over 2900 yards through the air. We gave up less than 2200 yards. Yes they did have 3 times as many picks as we did, but look at who they played.

Most of the pressure he got last season was from the linebackers, though, so he will have to have some talent at that weak position to come after us.

If they do that, we'll be up by 30 at halftime... Screens to neal and DY will stop that pretty damn quick... We will exploit their LB's and DL

I think CJC called maybe 2 screen last season ...with 2 inept backup QBs in the game. It should have been a screen-o-rama given the circumstances.

So , unless something has changed , I doubt we see any screens

...if the throws go to the right places. The whole philosophy is blitz in the front, ball hawk in the back.

I once saw this guy run a corner blitz....with 3 seconds to go on a hail Mary attempt. :wacko:

I expect to see more this year... Probably afraid Poole would just get tackled by the turf monster. Turf monster had 15 tackles each time poole played

Screens sound great, except for some reason under Chaney we have been an awful screen team.

I think we'll be fine. Our LB's will have a big day. With mccullers taking two or three blockers and opening it up for our LB's...mccullers presence alone will take up atleast two guys. All he has to do is stand there.

Actually their leading receiver was their second best last year and he had around 500 yds. Don't remember the number of catches but I know It was a lot more than 7

I am so sick of uneducated (football wise) people saying bull**** like this...the dude can't just stand there, the two people he's suppose to be taking up will make him look like he's on skates and then after the blocker is done with him, the blocker will take out a linebacker as well.

The Green Mile will be a forced to reckon with, and it won't be because he just stood somewhere. Do people ever just watch football? Or even played football?

I do this on NCAA 13 a good bit.
