You'd think Bajakian would call the plays where the O Line plays above their talent level. You know, the plays that score 100% of the time regardless of the opponent, down/distance or our talent gap!! It's too bad one of our VN Lombardis don't coach the team. We'd never lose.

If we had James Franklin instead of Butch and the MACy bunch UT would be 4-1 right now.

Get mad if you want, but the truth is the truth. James Franklin could have beaten this Florida team with his Vandy team, much less our wealth of (young) talent.

Franklin would surely love to have a 4*/5* True Freshman instead of a SR 2* guy just about any day of the week.

They took this Florida team to OT in the swamp and lost on a pretty bad call in favor of Florida


Yet we couldn't score a TD on this same defense


They are playing far better ball than we are with inferior talent


That's better coaching

Thank you. I knew I couldn't be the only one who was thinking that call was unbelievably bad.

It seemed like every time they made a good pass for a first down and got a little momentum, he went right back to killing it with that same call. It NEVER worked but he simply refused to abandon it, or even slightly change it.

And in that situation at midfield with time running out to go back to the "drive killer" was just insane. Trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result an all.

We were terrible on first down today--terrible. How many 3rd and longs did we have today--20? Absolutely pathetic offense.

I walked passed this guy while he was on his way to the Tenn. locker room after the loss in Gainesville last year and thought the jury is out;, on the road, throw a redshirt freshman to the wolfves. Butch f up and listened to him in that case. 4-8 Florida squad btw as it turned out that sucked.
Make no mistake, Florida is not a good football team. They suck and so does does the Tennessee offense because the OC, Bajakian, cannot take chicken sh*t and turn into chicken salad which is what he is paid to do. Yes, the oline is young and weak but not an excuse to lose A GAME 10-9 AT HOME. REDICULOUS. Jones will not win big here with this OC, if you can't win today in that setting against a sorry Florida team, you can forget SEC championships, National Chamionships, etc., even if you have the most talent on the field which they will have by 2016.

To the first bolded part: That's kinda sorta the point. TN had/has some of the worst talent at O line right now. Even "The Cryer" couldn't work with what's on the O line at TN right now.

To the second bolded part: That's the point. You can't judge what's going on on the field RIGHT NOW. If you, and others, don't see improvement....... Well, dang. I can't help. Fire 'em all. We ain't winnin'......

sorry. He can't run, can't make any plays with his legs. That's a problem. I agree the offense scheme today sucked. For 20 years, going back to Clausen, our offense has been too one predictable: we don't run the ball very well, we're not creative, so we're left with unathletic QBs taking deep drops and trying to throw 25-year downfield passes. We do TOO MUCH of that. We tried a lot of stuff in the flat, too, but florida stuffed all of it.

It had nothing to do with the play calling. When a true freshman (#55) is out there getting beaten play after play after play it's NOT the coaches fault. Do you seriously think the coaches should be out there blocking their D line?

The question I wanna ask is if THAT guy is the best guy we've got for blocking on the left side what's on the bench??? I can only hope that he's got the talent he just needs experience......

We just need more slogans. COACHING during the game is overrated. slogans are better than play calling. Selling amway is better than amway products. To heck with play calling...we need to build this thing right?slogan by slogan

I see in no way, shape, or form to call what this offense did today improvement.

And the whole point of my comment on Meyer was that he adapted to the talent he had to fit his system.

This staff can't or won't do that.

Justin Worley is not a running QB.

Stop predicating a majority of the offensive scheme on plays that rely on having a QB with the ability to run or plug someone in who can run.

Stop trying to run a power game up the gut when your guards and center can't even push Arkansas St around.

Stop asking the o line to protect for 3-5 seconds on slow developing pass plays with combo routes.

Butch and company better keep recruiting their asses off because they sure as hell aren't showing much offensively from a scheme or management standpoint.

They will need to out talent everyone they play to succeed.

Our o-line sucks? First I've heard of that. Thank you for this insightful bit of information that I hadn't considered previously.
